Didn't eve realise tickets had gone on sale yet. I'll be heading down from Sheffield, As long as SaintNeil90 decides to stay at home, we'll win ;)

Any good pubs round there ? Will be a new ground for me.

I've been to St Andrews before and it's not a special stadium to go to atall, and the sides of the pitch look like a beach.

Going to save myself some money and watch it on Sky

I go to watch Saints not admire the infrastructure. Each to their own though!

Yeah. Been a few times, never seen us win there. Remember their fans lobbing batteries at us when we lost 3-2 a while back (Anders scored the opener. We had a player sent off, can't remember who). It's not the best ground to go to but easy and not that far.

Booked our original trains when we thought it would be a 3pm KO. Will be in Birmingham very early and will be a dribbling mess by kick off. Looking forward to it.

Me & the wife, it's our anniversary old romantic that I am! ;-)

If you need, or want, to give her an extra treat get up to Brum early and drag her round the Jewellery Quarter: a damn sight better value than a trip to the High St Jewellers.

Hotels booked, train tickets purchased.. a few of us old school mates making a weekend of it (we all live in various parts of the country). All I need now is the match tickets... Assume there will be a few left when they go on general sale on Friday?? Also IIRC I can purchase more than 2 tickets on one customer number?? As you can tell.. we don't go much these days as a group!

I don't understand why people feel the need to make up obscure excuses as to why they're not going. Just admit you can't be arsed and would rather stay at home and watch it in the warm.

P.s. I am going.

If you're buying on general sale, then I don't think you even need a customer number. You'll be able to buy as many as you want for this one to be honest.

Im more likely to go when on the tele. Embarrassing seeing an empty away end on the tele. When top of the league.

Dutch Saints lot? They the ones that come over once a year or so for games?

Yes these lads come over at least once a season

Their last visit was for Tranmere last season

They are the Dutch Francis Benali Fan Club, whom I and other London Saints first met on a pre-season tour of Holland and Belgium by Saints when Alan Ball was manager.

They come over at least once a season, and a few years ago when we played Hull and won 4-2 under Burley, they cycled to Rotterdam and got the ferry over and then cycled to the game, only to discover that several bikes had been stolen from where they left them locked up during the game.

Managed to get several of them tickets for JPT Final

2 of us going. Luckily, working at the Spring Gift Fair at the NEC on the Sunday, so it's perfect timing. Visited the ground a couple of times before and not that impressed - still, will be a real test for us the way Brum are playing at the moment.

Good lads, got to love the Dutch!

Ah, fair enough ! I assumed they were, would be nice for the club to tell us when tickets go on sale for games !
To be fair, you've got a point though, why do they still need to be on restricted sale and why can't we have an on-line ticketing system that can deal with something so basic.

Does the online system automagically update at midnight to offer general sale tickets?? Or am I better off phoning in the morning?

Been to most away games this year, just don't really fancy this one.

It's a bonus it's on the box, but I wouldn't go even if it wasn't

Going with my 12 yr old nephew who lives in Brum but supports the Saints.

He has a hard time up there supporting the Saints so for his sake we need a good win.

Got two today for me and a mate, making a weekend of it. Is there any specific pubs that are recommended ? footballgroundguide reckons they're not very welcoming around the ground !

There's loads of places to drink in Birmingham city centre, there's also some Irish pubs between the centre and the ground in Digbeth. Brindley Place and the Mailbox have some posher places to drink, Broad Street has a whole array of places to drink (mostly chain pubs) and isn't classy but is ok for a sustained drink. Broad Street is the other side of the centre to the stadium and is between Birmingham New Street and Five Ways station. Also some drinking around the Arcadian (recommended over Broad Street fro a night out)which is next to Chinatown and has some bars and places to eat. The Custard Factory (an alternativey little development) which is fairly near the ground has a bar as well.
