CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 23 July, 2012 Share Posted 23 July, 2012 Not really, I haven't got your address. Take a care ! Your post count increasing alarmingly, anyone would think you had nothing better to do than argue with me.
saintfully Posted 23 July, 2012 Share Posted 23 July, 2012 Take a care ! Your post count increasing alarmingly, anyone would think you had nothing better to do than argue with me. Still at least another 2500 till I reach your esteemed level, but I'm sorry you're alarmed at my increasing post count. Perhaps you should lay off the internets for a while, it seems to be making you angry? Meantime, I'm off for a glass of champagne, a caviar biscotte and a massage, whilst contemplating the overthrow of our antique Queen. Have a nice day x
pap Posted 23 July, 2012 Author Share Posted 23 July, 2012 How many houses would 80M buy, I wonder?
Verbal Posted 23 July, 2012 Share Posted 23 July, 2012 How many houses would 80M buy, I wonder? In your neck of the woods, about 80m I would guess.

Just stick to "bin dippers", etc. Involves less maths - I think you'll have more success with your audience.
buctootim Posted 23 July, 2012 Share Posted 23 July, 2012 Sounds more like a sail training vessel than a Royal Yacht. Cameron says " it’s going to promote our country around the world, flying the flag for British trade and bringing new business and jobs back home". Really? People are going to buy pharmaceuticals, financial services and software because a sailing ship crewed by teenagers has rocked up to a docks near them? Its a hodge podge of ideas and rolled up badly into one project - a backward looking exercise in nostalgia looking for a purpose.

There's very little that Cameron says now that attracts any credibility. Completely agree with your points as well, and would add that this is another symbolic own goal. As many have pointed out, people do love the Queen but I think even the most ardent Royalist would probably admit that she'd manage perfectly well without a giant 80M yacht.
