Give it to Ron Posted 3 November, 2008 Posted 3 November, 2008 Friday - went to the Horns for a beer - some scary people in there Sat - Went to my nippers footie and won again - Quantum of Solace in the evening Sun - Chilled and did bugger all apart from buy decorating stuff and visit DIY centres 8/10 just on Saturdays wins and Bond movie.

Give it to Ron Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 The Horns is the nearest pub to me...in fact I live next door to the landlord but I tend to use the Bedes Lea more I like the Hobgoblin real ale they have at the moment. The scary quote was at some of the costumes that made the regulars look that way.

dubai_phil Posted 4 November, 2008 Posted 4 November, 2008 Friday visited friends in Ras Al Khamaih (it's a smaller emirate/town 140km northish of here) had coffee and went to the "Hole in the Wall" which is a booze shop that's about 60% cheaper than the official licenced places in Dubai. Got a case of Magners - wow 1st time I'd seen that - cost about 32 quid for 12 big bottles but hey Saturday chick cooked dinner, nice sort of Easteren European stuff. Mate called at HT from UK thinking I was Samaritans and getting me to talk him out of jumping from the Itchen Bridge. Didn't even bother to check the result until the OMG txt's came in, still thought we'd been whipped 7-0 or something. Celebrated by having even more seks Sunday - lazy morning in bed then up and doing PowerPoints all afternoon for a conference. Watched same Arabic commentary as EoA, but in their defence they DID notice Lewis passing Glock, but it became sort of screaming, followed by the same from me when the result came up. Still lol'ing at the Ferrari Pit celebrations and Alonso, but respect to Massa for how he coped Monday too busy on Powerpoint to come on here With the results and stuff 9.961752/10
