Leicester City build up thread

Just back in UK for 2 weeks - the lure of Leigh in January was just too much for me!!

Seeing Mrs EoA who can't travel back to Dubai due to a broken leg is just a bonus!! The in laws live in our house at the moment.

Back to normal on Saturday with Dave M and The Matchday fred crew and some Old Specky for company!!

OT: Might have asked you this before. Which Leigh? Oop Lancashire way?

Would love the pace of deridder and falque on each wing driving at the foxes defence.

Quite excited about this game, don't know why!

Would love to see following team:

...........................Davis

Fraser.........Martin.......Jos.........Fox

DeRidder......Cork....Morgan...Falque

...................Connolly....Guly

If we don't get control of the midfield, then I just don't see us doing the business. Either go with Schneiderlin as we did at Forest, or add in Harding to get control.

We're hearing Adam Lallana is out tonight. Falque to debut. Still no Fonte. Live comm on 96.1 FM from 1905 #Saintsfc

Just for confirmation, not that we ever doubted VMAN

Worried about Fonte, was rested over xmas as a precaution apparently...and is still to reappear! Must be quite a nasty injury to his toe. (he'd been playing with the injury for a while before too, so I wonder if that's made it even worse...)

I predict we will try to pass the ball into the net tonight. Not enough fit players to run at pace - can't see Guly or Connolly being able to keep up with Falque or De Ridder if one or both them play. Who knows - perhaps Falque is so good he can unlock their defence all on his own? (:

Hoping i can find a pub in Leigh that will be showing the match and have the commentary on.

Just hope the match doesn't coincide with whippet, ferret and pigeon fanciers weekly!!

If The Leigh Arms has it on, good omens. Seen 2 matches in there, 4-3 V Spurs and 1-0 v Man Yoo, plus the England 5-1 v Germany. The Snooker Club however has yielded about 4 defeats!! Might try The Old Moonraker the scene of my watching the Valentines 4-2 massacre of Liverpool, but I think it has ben shut down.

Decisions decisions decisions - we have Sky but with the in laws living in with us I don't want to hog the TV and lounge all night, and my language might get a bit colourful if we get any dodgy decisions against us!!

COYS do yourselves proud on the tellybox for a change.

Deffo on Al Jism 5 in Arabic, not confirmed we will have English yet. Spitfire Ale in the fridge getting warm (it's FREEZING here today)

Last tech problem is getting wifi by the telly so can get back up from DM in emergency & maybe find those very naughty Polish Nuns

We'll play fluent stuff but struggle to break them down, get nervy & you know what will happen on the match thread. But we'll sneak it

City: Schmeichel, Peltier, Konchesky, Mills ©, Gallagher, Dyer, St. Ledger, Wellens, Beckford, Danns, Nugent

Subs: Logan, Howard, Drinkwater, Delfouneso, Kennedy

Very solid and experience Leicester side. They should be much higher really. Will be a big test for the defence.

so much for those who were saying Delfouneso couldn't be qualified for this match then.

Tough game awaits us.

WTF has happened to Fonte ? I was told off for counting him amongst the long-term injured back at the Brighton game. And Richardson ? Still not even a whiff of Chaplow, FFS...

Well Frazier is on the bench and Harding has been brilliant at RB in the last couple of games

It's not the end of the world if we lose or draw tonight, but we must then go and beat Cardiff. The Leicester team does look pretty solid, but then a team that cost a lot to assemble would - and they've been struggling with most of this team all season. Hopefully our style or play and team spirit sees us through, we need performances from every man. I'm looking forward to seeing if Falque can fill the Lallana void, although I hope he's not out for too long.

Ladbrokes have Tadanari Lee in the betting for goalscorer! Before I saw the line up I wondered whether they knew something we didn't! A surprise signing on the pitch would be sweet, but if not then I hope he's on the bus for the Cardiff game.

Bring on the 4 point gap!

Here's a 1st have two bars wifi & DM + you lot on match thread with everything perched on top a box on the sideboard to get signal. No nuns from me but should be able to lol at the fred

So who is David in France?

'David in Sweden' you mean?

Think someone said last game that the match thread was a refreshing change to read but hey, with the village idiot around ready to wet himself on point, we'll see...
