Nutwood2 Posted 14 January, 2012 Posted 14 January, 2012 Well done Dave. Great win masterminded by our Nige. Great credit to you for acknowledging that!
Greenridge Posted 14 January, 2012 Posted 14 January, 2012 He's always behind us.... Agreed. Constructive criticism when he does is normally with good reason and not for the sake of it.
SaintBobby Posted 14 January, 2012 Posted 14 January, 2012 He always seem to be totally behind Saints...often using "we"/"us" etc. I actually think his criticisms have been reasonable too - even if i don't always agree with them.

I think sometimes fans can be so blinkered that any criticism, even if justified, is met with complete disagreement. ''You can never say anything bad, even if we lost 3-0 we did a good job etc".
JackanorySFC Posted 14 January, 2012 Posted 14 January, 2012 The people that complain about Merrington are the same post euro 96 "footie" morons that think Steve (skate bastard tbf) Claridge was "anti saints" on the FLS despite giving us glowing reports week in week out. The sort of loons that if they supported the mickeys would argue to the death that King Kenny and Suarez ar "110% in the right".
Nutwood2 Posted 14 January, 2012 Author Posted 14 January, 2012 Oh, for goodness sake, Dave is no doubt a thoroughly nice bloke, no doubt a huge Saints supporter and someone who still has a little bitterness in him which manifests itself in his commentaries and could be dangerous, given his immense popularity. That's all.

That's all. Your user name sums up your post perfectly. We shat on him when he was our manager, but I can see why now. Wish him all the best, but there is a reason why he is on local radio and not in management.
niceandfriendly Posted 14 January, 2012 Posted 14 January, 2012 Dave may have a little bitterness with Cortese (I've no evidence for this) but he never shows it when talking about Saints or our performances. He's always positive or when criticising he is always constructive. Bizarre thread.

That's all. You first post was strange, the second bizarre. Dangerous?
los_saint Posted 16 January, 2012 Posted 16 January, 2012 Dave is *a lot* better than the pompey summariser.
