I think you will all be shocked with who we are in talks with, 80% complete I would say ! Just the last push and you will all forgot about all these names mentioned!

Let's hope it completes.

What a pointless attention seeking comment either tell us who it is or don't bother mentioning anything.

We're not going to have all that ITK sh*te again are we!?

Besides I don't believe we have the money to throw around that some people seem to think we do. If we had I don't think we would have signed Tandanari Lee.

Because a club attempting to establish themselves in the Premier League has never signed an Asian player just to shift shirts to their merch-heavy consumer society...

You're right. He has the skill of being in Scotland.

As I said earlier...

- Hooper scored in Europe vs Braga, Udinese and Rennes.

- Hooper was the Championship's 3rd top scorer with 19 league goals goals for a struggling S****horpe United side in his last year in England in 2009/10 aged 21.

- He even outscored Andy Carroll at Newcastle that season, who was playing for a side that walked the league.

People saying he is a tap in king should watch his movement off the ball to get into those positions...also it didnt stop Lineker having a great career!..

That is exactly what I've been saying. It takes a different sort of skill to be a goal poacher, you need a good football brain in order to get in the right place at the right time.

SPL is mid to top championship level only. Look at Scott McDonald, hardy setting the world no fire at Boro. Boro a team that are struggling for goals!! Scott McDonald was scoring for fun in the SPL. Saying this, I think he is up there with the Lamberts of th world.

The Scottish league isn't as bad as people seem to think it is. Back in the days of McCoist and Larsson (who regularly scored 25+ goals a season for about 6 or 7 years), Celtic and Rangers were among the top teams in Europe. If the SPL had the same amount of TV money as the EPL it would be a different story. The Old Firm have a huge fanbase, european quality stadiums and great youth academies - they could be good EPL sides. Then you've got the likes of Hibernian, Hearts, Abderdeen, Motherwell etc also with big fanbases, good stadiums and youth academies (particularly Motherwell).

The standard of football isn't that great, but the pitches are tougher to play on when there's no money in the coffers for nice fresh turf like we have at SMS week in, week out!

Anyway, back to Hooper. As MLG has said, he's an excellent poacher and you have to have the right type of footballing brain and foresight to get into positions to score from 3 yards. Most of those goals were from him losing his marker and drifting into space at the back or near post. You don't need to score from 30, 40 yards out when you can score 1 of those each game. They all count the same. How many times this season have we seen crosses go over players heads in the box with nobody to collect at the back post? That's where Hooper would thrive.
