Saint Garrett Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Was going to go, but think I'll just save the money and watch it on the box.
Saint_Jonny Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 ******** I was hoping we'd get loads up here for that game but we'll get **** all now.
Appy Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 ******** I was hoping we'd get loads up here for that game but we'll get **** all now., their We wouldn't of done anyway, their prices are criminal.
Sour Mash Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 F**ks sake, had already booked my train back, always a gamble, but very annoying nevertheless. It seems they're going for our away games with these 5.20 kick offs? Brum, Blackpool, Leeds. At the prices Leeds are charging, we really won't have many up there for this one. Hopefully it'll mean we're teh lowest "Category" for tickets though.
Crazy Diamond Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 The curse of being top of the league. This may well happen a few more times before the end of the season.
Orange Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 I'll still be going but its a shame we won't take so many up now. Oh well. I think for Brum we will take a big following despite it being on the box.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Sweet. I'm banned from that hole so sorts me out.
Crazy Diamond Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Sweet. I'm banned from that hole so sorts me out. What did you do to Ken Bates this time?
oldsarum Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Unfortunately if you are successful you are likely to be on TV more, it's the price of success I'm afraid Anyway get used to it if we go up our fixtures will be all over the place next season with TV games, and matches changed to Sunday due to Europa League etc.
Chez Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 how much are Leeds charging? Long old trip (and expensive) for those living on the South coast so can't see many making it now its on the box. We'll still get the usual 900 Northern based supporters and die hards.
Prince Jazzbo Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Stop moving our ****ing games you ****s We are Southampton we're top of the league I'm afraid
bowers-sfc Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Am extra couple of hours in bed before I leave. Nice!
jjsaint Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 This has killed stone dead any chance I had of going to this one.

Think its something like £36 for Cat A games, £34 for Cat B and £28 for Cat C. Only bright side of this is it might mean we won't be Cat A hopefully.
Dr Who? Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Oh dear, a good away game now sat in front of the box. I cannot justify going to the limited amount of games I can go to when they on the box, that just would not make sense. Will pick another one instead.
JRM Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 If they do charge us £36 i'd like to see the whole away stand completely empty in protest at the plss taking prices Leeds think they can get away with, once one club does it others will follow. I will reluctantly pay what will be £32 at West Ham as i'm in London anyway and it could be a huge game, but things are getting riidiculous when 2nd Division football costs this much. You could get into 2 top flight German games for the same price.
Synthpop Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Knew it was a gamble but had already booked trains for this. Last one back is 7.20 - rubbish.
The Cat Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 That's me out. Will be interesting to see us on tv and get a different perspective on the game.
bpsaint Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Quite surprised the away match against WHU never got selected for tv given what a massive game it is in the NPC.
Lets B Avenue Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Quite surprised the away match against WHU never got selected for tv given what a massive game it is in the NPC. Its on the same night as the next round of Champions League. Not really a "massive game" by comparison in the eyes of a TV exec.

That'll explain explain their away following being downgraded from "blue army" to "blue platoon"

Orange Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 I could be horribly wrong but i'd still imagine we'd take somewhere in the region of 1,200?
Wilko Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 F**k the telly. My away calendar is being decimated by this ****. F**k the telly.
LGTL Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Turning this into a bit of a weekend now. Staying up Saturday night and out on the smash after.
Sour Mash Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Turning this into a bit of a weekend now. Staying up Saturday night and out on the smash after. A decision I think most will make, may as well with a late kick off. Caning the wallet in March, overnighters for Leeds, Hull & Blackpool.
oldsarum Posted 16 January, 2012 Posted 16 January, 2012 Due to Leeds game March 3rd now being changed to a 5.20 kick off it is now impossible to get from London to Leeds and back on the day by train So London Saints are attempting to organise a coach to and from the game Golden Boy Coaches for the Leeds trip. For a 41 seater executive (with tables) they would want £1,405. Sounds a lot but when you break it down a full coach would work out to £35 each and say, 35 on board would be £40 so not so bad when broken down. I would need to book it up well in advance so if you can let me know if you’re interested ASAP so we can get an idea of numbers and then I can reserve the coach. If anyone is intersted please contact Ray Betts Ray Betts [Ray.Betts@hamiltonfraser.co.uk] ASAP NB - There will be no Bingo on coach and pub stops on route are planned. Coach is aiming to get back to London by 11.30 for those travelling from outside London
