buctootim Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 I always go to 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' barbers in Hove. Good cut from attractive women and costs £10. Southampton has nothing like that afaik.

JackanorySFC Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 The place on Victoria Rd Netley, 2 lads Adam and Joe in there both toni and guy trained but hated the selling part so set up out there. Sky sports on mini lcd screens at every station, love their football and cain each other over their world 5 a side teams every time I'm in there. Only a tenner, thought this would be too cheap but so far so good.....
norwaysaint Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 The place on Victoria Rd Netley, 2 lads Adam and Joe in there both toni and guy trained but hated the selling part so set up out there. I'd been wondering what'd happened to them. Radio's loss in my opinion.

Jonnyboy Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 I always go to 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' barbers in Hove. Good cut from attractive women and costs £10. Southampton has nothing like that afaik. Do they do extras?
Dimond Geezer Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 The old guy on The Triangle, next to the bookies, £5.50 for a grade 3, done in 10 minutes - sorted.

dune Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 Too comfortable with that bowl on your head Frank? Tin foil is better eh Verbal.
SuperMikey Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 I go to Oscars on Portswood high street, student haircut is £8 and unlike most hairdressers they never manage to completely f*ck your hair up. Cracking that.
Verbal Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 Tin foil is better eh Verbal. For the highlights, yes.
timebomb Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 Gordons - Ashtree Road - £10, I still go here whenever I can.
hamster Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 If you just want a neat n tidy cut then grade 1 it yerself. If you want a hair style then go to yer nearest hairdresser. If you want a proper mans haircut, no poncey crap, then find an experienced barber, men are very different to women's cuts. 2 highly recommended by me are the nipper in Burgess Road right by all the takeaways, pray4Jay's brother and, the bestest in soton, Romsey road Shirley. Hair product? Black & White's wax.
Jonnyboy Posted 12 January, 2012 Posted 12 January, 2012 Dont want an excessive price (25 quid and under). Any suggestions for a place that does a decent cut? I think Asgard in town will shear all those pubes for you.
Saint Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Shine on the Southampton University campus, next to the Jubilee sports centre. Does a decent mens wash and cut for around £15 - £17 (around that). Been going there for a while.

If you go in on a certain day they have hairdressing students from the local college in practicing, I believe you can get a haircut for next to nothing then.
Wes Tender Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Well, I went to what used to be Stanley's in St Denys Road, only to find out that the new proprietor there is a Skate.
The9 Posted 13 January, 2012 Posted 13 January, 2012 Crew on East Street for me, about £13 for a perfectly decent cut and they always do as I ask regarding the balding corner bits.
