Jesus Reigned Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 The Smiths. If I ever get to see Morrissey and Marr performing on the same stage I shall die a happy man.

emerson massey Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 The Dubliners (Better with Luke Kelly RIP, but still amazing)
Verbal Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 The Band.......... Really? I had you down as a kind of Leon Russell with lousy politics.
alpine_saint Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 1. The Chameleons 2. New Model Army 3. The Smiths
bridge too far Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 And a close second would be Creedence Clearwater Revival followed by Curved Air
moonraker Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 There are to many graet bands to single one out but having seen Madness 6 times they are a real favourite but my favorite all time live gig was the Who in 1972, it was memorable for Keith Moon (RIP) alone.
ant Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 Muse. The band I've likely listened to most over the last few years is Bring Me The Horizon, but I can't imagine they'll be anything like so timeless!
doddisalegend Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 Got to be Iron maiden just love their stuff....

Window Cleaner Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 If I was really pushed to answer this question I'd have to say Fleetwood Mac in it's Nicks/Buckingham/Fleetwood/McVie/McVie existence. After that Jethro Tull because 2 ex members are aquaintances of mine.

Window Cleaner Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 Another - Steeleye Span Ah Tiger and Maddy Prior, used to know Tiger as well
badgerx16 Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 After that Jethro Tull ......... Another - Steeleye Span 2 excellent bands with strong Blackpool connections.
Window Cleaner Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 2 excellent bands with strong Blackpool connections. That's how i know them sort of. My sister studied Pharmacy at Chelsea at the same epoch as John Evan, met him when I stayed with her when I went up for interviews at Imperial. After that went to a few parties they had, Maddy Prior+Ashley used to hang with them as well, at that time sort of famous people didn't hide themselves away on desert islands with 15ft high steel walls, even met Mick Jagger once in the Kings Head and Eight Bells on Cheyne Walk.

Window Cleaner Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 Ian Anderson used to live near me - is he one of your buddies? I've met him yes,in the pub that Glen Cornick's people kept on Streatham High Rd but Anderson was a pretty private man, even then.
bridge too far Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 Another band I used to like was Man. I've just wiki'd them and found links to a number of other bands I used to like, back in the day, such as Hawkwind, Soft Machine and Brinsley Schwarz.
Verbal Posted 11 January, 2012 Posted 11 January, 2012 Arcade Fire So not only should you go and buy some books, you should buy some records.
