I don't get it...?

If you've bought a Sun Holiday before, you will have received a pack, when you only have to key-in online the 'code words' to make a booking. The thread that I've linked to is updated daily with the latest code - meaning you don't have to buy The Sun.

A number of years ago the wife and I booked onto a site that looked good on the internet in Brixham, when we got there it was nothing like it was shyte we found out on the first day it was one The Sun use. After two days we had had enough so we said sod it packed up and checked into a hotel for the rest of the week. I think we paid about £350.00 for the week half board it was a case of if looks to cheap to be true there is a reason the chalets we like a line up of lock garages.

Fair enough, but as a family of 4 we've been back to the same site in North Devon for the past 2 years - paid only £60 for the four of us each time (for a three night break). The brochure price is normally around £180.

In this day and age it isn't difficult to put your own package together. I am doing one at the minute. It takes a while as you have to research hotels (using tripadvisor) and then find the best prices. Personally I find travelrepublic to be good (never had any problems and i've been using them for about 5 years). I prefer using them and similar i.e sunshineholidays because you pay for the accomodation and receive a hotel voucher, as oposed to booking sites where you book and agree a price and pay whilst on holiday.

i'm currently struggling with finding a hotel in seville with free parking. Found a nice little boutique hotel in Jerez easily enough. Might not bother with Seville at this rate or seek out hotels with garages that charge (although will need to establish the charge and factor this in which means more research)

If you havent been to seville, i recommend you make the effort amazing city, loved it when i went there. Loads to see and do :0)

It's what to do with the hire car that's the issue. I just want to park up and leave it it parked up for the durartion (5 nights).

Why not just hire one till you get there, and hire another one 5 days later?

Can't drop off other than at the original pick up point.

Are you sure?

It was some time ago now but an ex and I hired a car in (I think) Valencia and ended up dropping it back in Barca.

I think there was a small additinal charge but not much given the added convenience.

Most large firms will let you do this , although admittedly at a surcharge. Had to do it once myself, car broke down irreparably in Cornwall, hire car back home and dropped it off in town. I guess in your case though it's whether the extra expense of 2 separate hires periods with different collection / drop offs is cheaper than hiring for one longer period even with 5 days of no-usage. To be fair it probably won't be.
