Saint In Exile Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 There's some confusion between me and a friend over Lambert's suspension and whether it included yesterday's game.... My friend thinks that suspensions begin 7 days after the "offence" which would mean that yesterday's game doesn't count towards the 3 games, I'm not so sure. Anyone know whether he's right or not??
niceandfriendly Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 He's wrong, yesterday's game was one of the suspended games.
Badger Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Have we/are we appealing against the three match ban ?
Jack Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Have we/are we appealing against the three match ban ? No.
saint si Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Suspect the lack of appeal is down to there being no conclusive footage of the event either way.
sfcuk fan Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Suspect the lack of appeal is down to there being no conclusive footage of the event either way. Well then he is being punished for a crime of which there is no conclusive proof and hence should be aquitted . . . simples .
Matty's Caddy Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 apart from the fact that he deserved to be sent off HTH
James Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 apart from the fact that he deserved to be sent off HTH Not sure I'd agree having seen the footage tbh. Can see why a red was given but I've seen a lot worse only get a yellow. El-Abd played it up.
SaintDan Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 So lambert gets straight red and suspended 3 games but schmeichel was only banned for 1 game after a straight red and plays a blinder against saints in what would have been match 2 of his suspension....why?

Was it two yellows? That's a one match ban.
Window Cleaner Posted 9 January, 2012 Posted 9 January, 2012 Was it two yellows? That's a one match ban. was indeed, a yellow for deliberate timewasting and then a second one for throwing the ball away to protest over the first yellow.
spyinthesky Posted 9 January, 2012 Posted 9 January, 2012 Perhaps we should have asked the FA to put their crack Appeals team on the case, you know the one that represented Rooney after his sending off for blantantly kicking a player from behind whilst playing for England!!
