Me too, having listened back again, and it really mirrors my thoughts. There has been plenty of talk about 'back ups' for Lambert etc being signed, but actually it's all about signing better players, and even putting pressure on Lambert too if need be. We are in such a good position, lets get some real quality in to improve the squad and really go for it.

Been saying this for ages, but some think that what we have, are the Bees knees, not accepting that most would struggle in the PL....all imho of course.

I said even before our form dropped off that I expect, based on previous Transfer Window activity, that Adkins will sign 3 or 4 players to improve the team (not just the squad) - including Hooiveld - and I see no reason to change that opinion yet.

If Butterfield and Richardson are injured it begs the question why let Dickson go on loan to Yeovil?

Does it really? He's a left back who unlike Harding has no experience of playing right back.

Infact...No. No it doesn't beg that question at all.

Dickson is a left back, and not a great one at that. So I wouldn't like to play him at RB.

We have Jack Stpehens too, who's a really good young player (was a first teamer for plymouth too before we got him). We also hae Cork, who in emergency, can do a job there.

I don't think Frasers injury is anything massive to worry about that.

Nice to see others agreeing with my reply to you yesterday. You dont want people accusing you of being a "Burley Clone" do you? ;)

Because Dickson is left sided and Butterfield & Richardson are right backs.

Beacause Dickson is not a RB, we have more than adequate cover for RB in Dan Harding (who has played there before) and also we have cover from Cork and Stephens if absolutely necessary. I doubt that Frazer is anything more than a minor knock, no point in risking him. In any case Dickson is only on loan, so could be recalled in an emergency if we needed cover at LB (assuming all three of our other good LBs were not available).

I suspect the point is that with Harding at right back we've now got no cover for either side should additional calamity befall us.

Cork could move there at a push, but then we're down a first choice midfielder.

Perhaps NA thinks that Shaw or Stephens can now step up if needs be
