People call it "boring" but it is an excellent chance to get to the 5th round.

Cardiff and Millwall have in recent years made the final as Championship clubs. Saints could do the same perhaps and we'd all be going to Wembley twice. Is that boring?

Beatable teams all the way, as far as I'm concerned.

Good points... would have preferred a home tie though.

Excellent draw. D&R was a fantastic day out match when we played them in league 1 and Millwall away brings back memories of a brilliant night in 2003

Except with our away form it will probably be an easy win for Millwall.

League and Cup Double perhaps for the Saints

Won't get many tickets from Dagenham though, a few more from Millwall.
Millwall have that second tier should enough fans want to go.

But have not gone up. Show me a team outside the top flight who have got to a cup final AND gone up?! This is my concern!

yes Millwall should be OK but we'll get about 900 from Daggers, not even enough to satisfy our awayday regulars,so there'll be a ballot and all the old moaning and whingeing that goes with it.

Terrible draw but I'd rather play Daggers. Dropped like a stone since our stay in League One. Bet it'll be Millwall though. :-(

Southampton 1976 Cup

1978 Promotion

Not the same year. I think there are plenty. Same season promotion andvcp final does not happen. Teams struggle and even get relegated because of cup runs. You know we will get through a couple and go out, just like the league cup.

Hoping for Dangenham & Redbridge, missed the trip there in League 1 so would be good to cross it off the list.

Seems to be an awful large amount of 'refs' who are quoting the rules, when in fact they are laws....

"A player who jumps into a tackle two-footed is not in control of himself and therefore if he makes contact with the player, ball and player, or if the referee determines there to be excessive malice in the challenge, he will be dismissed.

Where did you get this... Its not written in the rules

a ballot, blimey, there's only three weeks before the tie, our lot need about two months to sort out a ballot.

Another Saturday home 3pm game goes west if we get through 4th round. Due to play Derby on 5th round day.
who cares?

On Kompany, I thought at full speed it just looked like a tackle and my old man was amazed he was sent off, but when you watch it again he does go in with both feet off the ground.

I don't think Foy called it wrong - I reckon 50% of refs would give a red and 50% a yellow.

Truth is Kompany was told (as were all players) that if you go in with both feet off the ground it is a red card.

If he does it and is sent off, is it Foy's fault??

I do old chap. Obviously you don't.
Obviously. Getting through to the next round is more important to me than whether Derby is on a Saturday or midweek.

This. Although i would have much prefered a lot of other aways its an ok draw. Some more PL clubs will be knocked out, so we can mabye progress.

Not too far, and London aways tend to be decent.

Perhaps the stack of Northern based season ticket holders who can't do mid-week games?
I didn't think about them. Sorry chaps, when we get to Wembley perhaps the missed Derby game won't hurt so much.
