K,Billy's supersound Posted 7 January, 2012 Posted 7 January, 2012 westham. middlesborough or cardiff and send the youngsters out with anger and hatered in their eye and boots. muwhahaha
alpine_saint Posted 7 January, 2012 Posted 7 January, 2012 Pompey away. More unfinished business after the last match.
SNSUN Posted 7 January, 2012 Posted 7 January, 2012 I alter my earlier decision after a telling off. Of course, I want us to draw Norwich. Ahem.
Chez Posted 7 January, 2012 Posted 7 January, 2012 I don't want the skates because the lack of games between us helps to make the one we have more special.
Crazy Diamond Posted 7 January, 2012 Posted 7 January, 2012 I don't want the skates because the lack of games between us helps to make the one we have more special. Plus that would mean they'd beaten Chelsea.
SNSUN Posted 7 January, 2012 Posted 7 January, 2012 I don't want the skates because the lack of games between us helps to make the one we have more special. I agree. I'm looking forward to the fifty year gap following our next game against them.
shurlock Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Second thoughts - some spurs spouting off outside my flat. Would love to smash them at home.
Dan Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Shefifield United away, a 50 yard walk to an away game would be ideal.
BlakeySFC Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Any Prem grounds I haven't been to away for be my first priority: So Spurs, Swansea, Villa, Bolton, Liverpool. Also wouldn't mind going to other Prem grounds I've already been to in: City/United, Fulham, Wolves, stoke. Although I love the atmosphere of Home FA Cup games against a decent Prem opposition, I've always wanted to go to the Prem grounds I've mentioned above, and the FA cup is the only chance to do so at the moment The Worst people to play for me would be: Any Championship teams (as they're in our league so we'd already be playing/would of played them at some point), and teams like Crawley Town etc.
svetigpung Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Anyone at St.Marys. Brighton would be fun. Save the big boys to later.
Griffo Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Always get excited for the draw and it always fails to deliver. Bristol City or Swindon at home we'll get.
Colinjb Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Now Cov have gone, either Birmingham/Villa/Wolves/West Brom away.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 8 January, 2012 Author Posted 8 January, 2012 Always get excited for the draw and it always fails to deliver. Crawley or Swindon at home we'll get. I've amended your answer
saint_jas Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 (edited) Hull City, Nottm Forest, Notts County or Derby away. Edited 8 January, 2012 by saint_jas
Avenue Saint Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Everton at St Mary's please Said this on other thread too. Be good to see what level we are at.
Orange Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Bound to be a sh*te draw, still excited as always though. We never seem to get good away draws.
bowers-sfc Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 I'm going to say that were getting Sunderland or the winner of the Newcastle v Blackburn game
Window Cleaner Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 I'm going to say that were getting Sunderland or the winner of the Newcastle v Blackburn game That would be Sunderland or Newcastle then,Newcastle beat Blackburn 2-1 yesterday.
VectisSaint Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Do you really think they'll beat Citeh tomorrow, if so you didn't see them against Newcastle. You didn't reckon with Rooney getting in the ref's ear to get Kompany sent off did you? Cheating bastards. Tackle didn't even warrant a yellow, even Nani didn't appeal, just the thug, and a useless ref. Hopefully we'll get a Prem team at home (someone outside Top 6 and not Stoke), Newcastle would be interesting, could easily see us beating them while they are without Ba. I'm sure NC would like to give Pards a nice little welcome as well.

Agreed about the tackle, it was totally harmless, in fact if he was "just applying the rules" that would mean that you can't do anything that involves 2 feet forward. In fact you'd have to ask yourself if overhead kicks aren't just as dangerous and should be the subject of a straight red as well.
Rusaldo Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Wouldn't mind a trip to on of the London clubs. Not bothered who.
alpine_saint Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Wouldnt mind Manyoo home again, considering what last years result did as a shot-in-the arm to our confidence and performance in the League.

niceandfriendly Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 The tackle was one footed, and his other foot followed through afterward. It was just a good challenge. Football is ****ed, truly ****ed.
sfc4prem Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 If that tackle was a foul then it's one step closer to becoming a freaking non-contact sport FFS.
dickyhale Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 League Two or non league team at St Mary's and onto the 5th round. Yes this would be nice
Nexstar Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 People seem to think that winning the ball is everything these days. Even Andy Townsend said "he won the ball, how can it be a foul?". Winning the ball means NOTHING if the challenge was careless, reckless, or reckless with excessive force (Dangerous). Based on the laws of the game the challenge was a foul and worthy of a yellow or red card, depending if the referee saw it as a reckless, or added with excessive force. It may not be how people would like football to be, or the way it used to be played, but rules are rules. It is quite frankly shocking the ignorance shown by the majority of fans when it comes to the laws of the game.
Window Cleaner Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Away to Milton Keynes would suit me on a personal basis, I've to be in Cambridge earlier on that week and what with the lad at Cranfield and all...MK away would be top titty.Still they'd have to beat QPR first, wouldn't mind Loftus Rd either, always a lucky ground for me.
Dr Who? Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 Away to MK Dons or Stevenage would be good for me.
Monk Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 It didn't. It wasn't even a foul. HTH. it did, it got given a red because of it. i hope that helps. chin up

Not withstanding that he did win the ball cleanly, it was neither reckless nor dangerous nor employed excessive force. The ref wasn't even going to give a foul until Rooney started screaming and waving at him. Look at the reaction of Nani (the "fouled" player) and Giggs - nothing.
terrypward Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 After seeing today's game - I want Man City. (and yes - I know...)

I bet, if it was Saints player on the recieving end of the challenge, you would ALL be saying it was a red. He jumped in to the tackle with both feet off the ground, both sets of studs showing. When a 14 stone player leaves the ground with both feet, it results in excessive force. If he caught the player, still winning the ball, you would change you mind. I'd put my savings on it.
Wade Garrett Posted 8 January, 2012 Posted 8 January, 2012 A home game against League 2 opposition would be good enough for me.
