Surprised Hammond v Leeds isn't in there. Particularly as Lallana v Ispwich is (important goal but not the best.)

 

For me it's between Guly v Blackpool and Connolly v Boro.

strange there hasn't been more lambert crackers, given the number of goals and his tendency throughout his career for great goals. has he been advised against long shots? he used to shoot from anywhere.

 

Hasn't scored, or even taken a decent free kick for a long time now either. I Wonder what's changed?

I would also go with Connollys v Boro, followed by Lallanas V Leeds. He made it look so easy, but that was brilliant skill followed with a supurb finish

Connolly's against Middlesbrough IS the beautiful game.

It would be glory for the team as opposed to a piece of class from an individual player. There is some wonderful finishing and passing in there though. Also hearing "Southampton 1 Manchester United 0" and "Pompey 0 Saints 1" felt good.

Got to be the Boro one for me, although there was so pretty **** defending from boro and that have hearted attempt by Bates to stop it was a shocker.

For me it's the Chappers goal vs Utd. I was in corporate for that game and to come in at half time with the place buzzing was excellent. Not only that but it was an individual piece of excellent ball control and a tough finish which ripped into the net. And against arguably one of the best clubs in the World. All of this made me really feel like we'd arrived back on the main street of English football - a little glimpse perhaps of how next season might feel?!
