patcham1 Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 You play one way, and are totally lost without Lambert.....without his presence in the box, you were totally ineffective........he was correctly sent off, and after that you had no plan B Think you will struggle in the next few games without him, sometimes 10 men can respond in a really positive way, but not in your case, there was no real fight, and we out passed you all over the pitch, our two wingers (2nd choices).... had your full backs in their pockets Bearing in mind we had three youngters making their championship debuts, and we were playing with what was in effect a second team, with 12 players out injured/banned, you should be worried for your immediate future.....think you have been found out! Look forward to renewing rivalries next season!
S-Clarke Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 He has a point to be fair, we are totally toothless without Lambert and we need another option for when he's out. But we're not your rivals. HTH.

He is right, Lambert is totally key to our game plan. And again, what the f**k is it with Brighton fans thinking they are our rivals!? You guys concentrate on Palace and we will concentrate on the Skate vermin!
Stu Man Do Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Sounds like we've both been stitched up by a ref in our games this season. Enjoy your 5 mins of respite though you lot are gone and forgotten now ;-)
Colinjb Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Look forward to renewing rivalries next season! Sort yourself out.
PaulSaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 **** off AND take that oscar winning fairy of a player with you!

Then given you dirty tactics as well, i think your statement speaks volumes of you and your ****e side!! I put it to you! Where are you in the league and were are we 1st PLACE!! Enough said!! patcham1 Posted 2 January, 2012 Author Posted 2 January, 2012 I didnt say Rivals....Palace are and always will be ours I said rivalries (plural)....south coast version!
Colinjb Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I didnt say Rivals....Palace are and always will be ours I said rivalries (plural)....south coast version! Well rivalries more then implies it. And there has been more then a fair share of Seaguls coming over here pretending as though it is a derby. Laughable. Just like the Cherries before you.
Norm Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Hearing from a pal who was at the game, it would seem that the OP has summed the game up well. (He did forget to mention the goal not given/the clear pen and his sides tactics, which we fell for)

Newcastle U Lyme Saint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 The most important question for you though is; Can u keep up?
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Won 2 Lost 1 Drew 1 thats our record and we didn`t come to your half finished ground and park the bus lol Oh and top of the league bore off
Micky Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 But we is top of the league after our worst run in a year - yes, still top of the league. The turning point today - RL's sending off - which your man did his oscar impression to bring about. After that yes, you were in the game. If this gives you cause to gloat feel free - we is still, even now as I look, top of the league.
RobM Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 The OP makes some valid points, so fair play, we are far too reliant on Lambert. Congratulations also on reaching 13th in the league, you're doing very well this season, you should be able to stay up this season at this rate
Appy Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I didnt say Rivals....Palace are and always will be ours I said rivalries (plural)....south coast version! Do one back to mid table.
los_saint Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 The Brighton / Palace "rivalry" is pretty pathetic given that they are 46miles apart. There's nothing between the 2 clubs apart from a few heated cup games. We are Southampton, we don't care about you!

Look forward to renewing rivalries next season! You'll only be renewing rivalries with us if you're unlucky enough to draw us in one of the cup competitions. Because we will be in the division above you.

Thedelldays Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 this is very much like losing to walsall last season....so many of us (including me) thought promotion was all but over... hmmmmmm
Wes Tender Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 I dont think they will be relegated Well, if they were, then that will be two divisions separating us.
notnowcato Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 Haha **** off Patcham, you Preston Park wannabee
This Charming Man Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 He has a point though. At Doncaster when Lambert was injured, we didn't manage one single shot at goal, yesterday once he was gone we created very little and we really do miss his hold up play. He's by far our most important player and we look a very average side without him.
OVER THE HILL Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 Once Chaplow got injured there does seem to be a lack goals or goal attempts from the other midfielders. Has Cork ever had an attempt on target ? Also Fonte scored a few last season but, I think, none so far this.

He had a simple tap in at the far post yesterday but managed to somehow put it over, so I doubt he's managed anything of note on target.
Bearsy Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 Call me crazy, but is it possible our attacking threat reduced because we were playing with 10 men?
Bearsy Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 I remember posting this on a BHA forum a couple of months back: "You play one way, and are totally lost without Tarricco..... he was correctly sent off, and after that you had no plan B"
