well, if anyone actually needed it spelled out to them that we need another good striker....then it is even more obvious now......that was a very bad result with the amount of players brighton had out.......pish poor im afraid and probably the worst result since brenford at home IMO

Be interesting to see what happens now. I m sure the clubs objective had changed from top 10. Especially after holding top spot for half a season. Can we appeal the red card?

I think a few signings are required no doubt and I feel that we should do it now rather waiting.

Problem is RL is the best striker in this league - therefore very difficult to replace.

We needed a 'proper' right winger at the start of the season, we have needed one throughout the season and we really need one now. We also require another striker - particularly now Lambert is facing a three-match ban. There is a serious chance that we will waste our great start to the season and that we may even fail to make the play-offs unless we add two, if not three, new faces in the next couple of weeks. It is one heck of a long season and we need some fresh impetus asap.

very worrying dip in form - could loosen the purse strings i guess, but new players are no guarantee of getting the bus going again

shame about rickie... not having seen the incident i can't comment on the validity, but it doesn't sound like rickie.... hopefully get rescinded

Ok, we're mid-wobble and we've some really, really difficult games coming up. We've got players out and we're running low on confidence. We could either blame everyone around us or suck it up and have a go again. We've got 21 games left - that's 63 points to play for.

It's pretty obvious we're going to need strengthening and I think that's what NA and NC will set about doing within the next week or so. We're on the precipice and we could go either of two ways. We'll never get a better chance than what we've got now to get promoted. Let's hope we pull ourselves together soon.

We've been in poor form for the past 6 weeks, how we are stop is amazing.

lambert now suspended, we need to see how serious Cortese is about providing funds for new players to add quality not just quantity. We have some hard games coming up, without Lambert we will struggle.

This could be the kick up the arse that evrybody needs - NC and NA will find that result as unacceptable as the fans do, and that might well signal a player strengthening PDQ...

As for all the doom-mongers - Look at where we were 12 months ago, look at the table today and get some perspective

Wouldn't want to be using D'urso as an excuse to hide our own deficiencies. He may be poor, but I doubt he was biased, sounds a bit Brightonish to be moaning too much about the ref.

Been poor for a while and need to do something PDQ if we are to arrest the slide.

Lambert let us down today, totally avoidable red card!

Still cant just blame him. We win together we lose together

When you consider the amount of stick Lambert takes without reacting at all I think I'd have to have a close look at a replay to see whether he really did deck someone.

Obviously we are all desparately disappointed and its time to get the cheque book out. The failures, to replace AOC with a winger who would be a first choice starter, and the failure to sign the second striker are coming home to roost but if Cortese does get the cheque book out now it can yet be rescued. What is a worry though is whether Adkins is adept enough at selection and tactical play. Maybe he needs someone to advise him.

Atkins has my support but his tatics are starting to concern me. His pseudoscience approach seemed to work well in the summer but as the season has passed into winter we have got progressivly worse. Back to basics for me please.

I think his hands are tied by the lack of options. He turns around and has a bench with Forte on it, and a young kid in Reeves.

We need some new additions before we can do anymore. It doesn't help that with the injuries and suspensions, players like Cork and Lallana are going through their bad patches.

We've had some good luck in the first half of the season. Things turning a little bit now and this will be a test for NA and NC, as well as the team. Hopefully a couple of decent signings will liven things up a bit and bring another dimension to the play as we are a bit "obvious" at the moment. Still very hopeful of a top 6 finish.

Mid wobble but the transfer window sounding like some homework has been done on it over the past few months.....and after a dire few weeks ...

We are STILL top of the league!

Half the season gone, still top, transfer window open, no reason to think we don't have money to spend...in NA and NC we trust. No reason to panic, remember where we have come from and get down on your knees and thank St Markus

According to SKY we had a goal disallowed in the first half. It was definitely over the line. Rickie gets no protection from the Officials and BHA have the worst disciplinary record in the League.Don't despair. We've been here before and climbed out of it and we'll do it again. We are still TOP OF THE LEAGUE! It'll be interesting to read what went on from those who were there.

At least we've built up enouh points to finish mid-table

I'll settle for that!

Yes, that is right. Most people would have been happy with this at the start of the season. This was especially so when our fairly modest summer strengthening implied we were sticking to our plan of building the club up in a sustainable way.

At the moment people are feeling very disappointed and raw, which is understandable. However, we need to rally around the club and encourage the players. If we do slide down the table we should be safe and comfortable and this would be an ideal time to experiment and bring in younger players.

There are always positives if you think about them.
