You are being pedantic, and you know it.

If we are going to go up our away form has gotta improve. What a great way to show our mental strength to win today after friday knightmare.

No he isn't. That's exactly the point. But, given your own habit of wildly overstating things, I'm not surprised that you can't see it.

That I agree with.

Yep, compared to the rest of January and February, this is low-hanging fruit.

hmm, interesting team. Surprised SDR isn't starting, but I guess it makes sense to have him as an option.

Harding and Deano will be well up for this anyway....nice hostile atmosphere for them to soak up.

Glad to see Connolly starting again though, for me...Lamberts eyes light up when he's alongside him.

Saints Vs Brighton. Davis. Richardson, Martin, Hooiveld, Harding. Hammond©, Cork, Lallana, Guly. Connolly, Lambert

Hmm. Harding for Fox was abit of a surprise, but the rest is to be expected.

If Lallana is really not contributing this time around, I would sub him for Holmes.

Does that line up suggest that we're targeting the centre of their defence rather than the flanks? Are we going to have enough width?

Looks like a narrow dimaond to me...might be wrong though, but we've played that a few times.

Guly right side of the middle, Cork left side, Lallana in the hole, and Hammond holding. might be wrong though

Forest away should be winnable! We are better against teams who come at us, so brum and west ham maybe good.

Brighton badly hit by injuries & suspensions probably having to give kids a debut

Getting their excuses in early then

Sweet

Well actually their team is alot better than I thought it would be

Brighton are playing highlights from last season on the big screens to remind us who won the league. Woop-de-doo, they won the third tier...

They're an absolute joke of a club, managed by a clown.

TBF when we played them, we created a special montage of our win down there and played all the highlights.

I was on the train with a bunch of them when they came over to St Mary's a couple of months back. They all started singing "Championes! Ole Ole Ole" which is a f**king irritating tune at the best of times, but we were top of the League and they were about 8th.

WTF has happened to Butterfield ?

Has hardly appeared all season, and rumours of him departing. Would not have added much to the bench IMHO, given that Frazer has been one of the standouts of this season so far, but I guess he could have covered in MF if Cork had to drop back to CB in the event of a probalm with AM or Jos. We really are threadbare at CB, surprised they have not recalled Harlee Dean. Right sided CB is just as critical in the transfer window as a striker.

That's my take on it too. It's a good lineup, as Lallana and DC always seem to link-up well together. Similar footballing brains.

So many reasons why we need 3 points and a good solid win today. Hope we manage it.

You could say that about every single game we play, this is no different.

Probably our weakest bench of the season (on paper)?

Looks a really weak bench, I think we need to win this one before it gets to substitution time.

Dean is on a youth loan until 8th January, perhaps there's no recall on that sort of loan.

I think it is different. Our form has been indifferent of late. We need to get back to consistent winning ways.

I quite like the look of it, too, but I'm a little concerned that we won't have the width to exploit an injury-hit and inexperienced side. Time will tell.

I think our passing game will take care of that. Their lack of experience as a team might struggle to contain us passing around them... in fact, DC's inclusion would suggest we're going to play a direct passing game rather than exploit the wings, he isn't famed for getting on the end of crosses.
