Wade Garrett Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I'd put Connolly up top with Lambert and play Guly right-midfield. That team didn't do too badly for us at the start of the season.
AnthemsNotBangers Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Dropping Lallana is out of the question. Why? He's been garbage lately, needs a kick up the arse.
Legod Third Coming Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I'm in the home end for this one. Will let you know if anyone tries to hold my hand... Homophone...
Gambol2K9 Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I have a spare ticket or two for today, PM me if interested.
Roger Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I have a spare ticket or two for today, PM me if interested. Ive pmd you mate
miserableoldgit Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Why? He's been garbage lately, needs a kick up the arse. This is a bloody ridiculous statement. I agree that he hasn`t been firing on all cylinders lately, but to describe his performances as "garbage" is stupid.

Chez Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 This is a bloody ridiculous statement. I agree that he hasn`t been firing on all cylinders lately, but to describe his performances as "garbage" is stupid.ANBs garbage might be the wrong word, but he has been poor since coming back from the injury.
Legod Third Coming Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Clearly Lallana's low on confidence - but I wonder how much his dip in form has got to do with the opposition wisening up. Its not like he's having martin keown following him around; but no doubt he's receiving special attention and maybe he isn't quite able to make the step up. He hasn't looked quite at the pace since he came back from injury. I suspect he genuinely needs a rest. He won't admit it - nothing sinister, which footballer in a team at the top of the league would?? It was telling that he really upped his game against the skates but even then he was still not to the standard he was pre injury. I would simply do a Rooney and send him to a beach for a fortnight - maybe over the cup weekend.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 have a spare ticket as well if anyone wants it if available ill have plz

Wallington Saint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 2 tickets wanted. Can collect at ground or Brighton station. Rob 07905 304681 Clutching at straws!
Legod Third Coming Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I'd put Connolly up top with Lambert and play Guly right-midfield. That team didn't do too badly for us at the start of the season. Good call, De Ridder one side, Guly the other, Cork and Hammond midfield with Morgan the option.
Roger Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Gambol have the tickets gone now mate, could you let me know.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 (edited) Morgan the option. Suspended, will have to reshuffle if we want MF options or go with one of the youngsters. edit: At least I think he's suspended but he doesn't appear on the FA suspened players list; maybe it's not been updated for the last round of matches though. If he is I would put Reeves on the bench. Lokoed good when I saw him in the cup.
dubai_phil Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Right, enough of bubbles, TV games, games on at 3am while I'm on hols, nice to be back to a normal Saturday afternoon 7pm local start here match... Oh it wasn't Saturday today was it? It was a work day here wasn't it? I had meetings all day. Ah krap. Still at least footie's on at a sensible time. So, No thanks, I don't need a ticket so don't PM me. Tough game away to that lot (no jokes from me about allegedly seeing many of their fans in the Ladyboy bars as we passed down the street market of old Patpong Friday evening) and we need to rest a few players - Guly especially before he runs himself into the ground (or was that ambles ATM?) Give DC a start? have Holmes on the bench (if fit) hmmm glad I don't play FM 2012
SaintRobbie Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Looking for a cracking start to 2012. Brighton will be without a number of players through suspension. Schneiderlin misses out due to collecting 5 yellows. Personally I would like to see us play: Davis Richardson Fox Fonte (If Fit) / Martin Hooiveld Guly Hammond Cork Lallana Lambert Connolly Subs - Bart, De Ridder, Harding, Butterfield / Martin, Holmes I am not feeling confidant at the moment. Can't help but think we need some fresh blood in to give everyone a kick up the backside to compete for places and compete to win the league. Brighton will regard this as a Derby, we won't. Draw at best… but then Saints do keep proving me wrong thank goodness!!!

del boy Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Good to see on the Brighton forum that their ambition extends to staying in the Championship. This really is a great chance for us but will it be another Cardiff away? I hope the Brighton boys have been practising their guard of honour as much as the falling over, shirt puling and time wasting
James Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 COYR - let's kick start our season again. 2-0 Saints.
Leicestersaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Saints to win 3 - 1 although it would be nice to keep a clean sheet.
CanadaSaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Do we know if Taricco will be in Brighton's line up?
S-Clarke Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Do we know if Taricco will be in Brighton's line up? Pretty much guaranteed started I'd have thought. They have no one else.
CanadaSaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I hope you're right. That's a flank to attack, at least while he's still on the pitch.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Do we know if Taricco will be in Brighton's line up? Don't know for sure but it looks if he might well be.
Hopkins Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Am I the only one who thought Tarrico was pretty good against us until he went (quite rightly) mental at the ref?
RobM Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Am I the only one who thought Tarrico was pretty good against us until he went (quite rightly) mental at the ref? He is a leader, but I wouldn't rank him as a quality player. His hot head could work for us today though, with a few gentle digs in the heel... play them at their own game!
CanadaSaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Am I the only one who thought Tarrico was pretty good against us until he went (quite rightly) mental at the ref? He was okay but he's always one questionable ref's decision or one bad tackle away from a red card. Not the sort of 'leadership' they'll need in what will be a very inexperienced team. I'd be happy to see him playing and, especially, to see us running the ball at him.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Am I the only one who thought Tarrico was pretty good against us until he went (quite rightly) mental at the ref? From what I remeber didn't Brighton have us on the rack for a while until we got that first and very dubious penalty decision. Still it's not the same Brighton side today as they have so many suspensions and injuries.CMS still worries me though, even if he was playing with 10 youth players he'd be a threat. If we have Jose it's not so bad .
beatlesaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Am I the only one who thought Tarrico was pretty good against us until he went (quite rightly) mental at the ref? Not at all, Tarrico thought he was pretty good against us too hence the gesture to Lallana and Chaplow about having them in his pocket !
benjii Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 From what I remeber didn't Brighton have us on the rack for a while until we got that first and very dubious penalty decision. . Er, no.
MadDogMatt Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Team have just arrived Had to pass thru our fans qing up to go in COYR
Roger Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Bad feeling about this one. Would take a draw. We need to win if we are going to go up.
alpine_saint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Bad feeling about this one. Would take a draw. I consider this to be a must-win game. Brighton are supposed to be very weak at the moment and we need to up our points tally from away games to compensate our failing home record.
CanadaSaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 We need to win if we are going to go up. It's January 2, FFS.
Roger Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 It's January 2, FFS. They have players out and we need to start winning away as the home form is starting to drop
Saint_clark Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 They have players out and we need to start winning away as the home form is starting to drop That's all well and good, but your previous statement suggests that if we don't win then we won't go up - which is ridiculous.
Roger Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 That's all well and good, but your previous statement suggests that if we don't win then we won't go up - which is ridiculous. you know what I meant, jesus.
