saint boggy Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 i actually shrieked with disbelief when i saw the result!!!!! big up to the boys!!!! now let's try that at home now, shall we!!!!
Loyal Saint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 ****ing fantastic!!!!!!!! Still in shock, couldn't see a comeback on the cards in a million years especially after seeing the shambles at Swansea last week. And a winner in front of travelling fans with a pitch invasion to top it off- quality!! Have stopped running round the house like a lunatic now so off for celebration beers. Oh and the skates lose in the last minute, what a day!!!!
Tac-tics Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 I can't remember the last time I shout and jumped around the front room like that! Come on you Saints! haha I came bursting out my bedroom right in the face of my skate step dad who had just lost while screaming "effin get in there"
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Well done Saints , I'm simultaneously pleased and amazed ! It would be very nice if we could do this kind of thing at SMS every now and then .
NickG Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 solent about to interview JP for those on Hampshire!
redorwhitelion Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 What a lark, chuffed for the kids who played today, chuffed for the lads and lasses that bothered to haul their arses up the M6 this morning. See you in the Championship next season fish ****ers. (Sorry couldn't resist it - I'd forgotten this buzz existed!)
SimonRichards Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 What a fantastic fight back.. Well done lads. I can't remember the last time that WE were the side coming back from 2 - 0 down to win..
Tac-tics Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Dramatic increase of attendance next time at st.Marys

NI76 Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Absolutely brilliant. Been a season ticket holder for 20 years, didn't renew this season for the first time, not just because of Lowe, but because I felt like I was falling out of love with footy and Saints for the first time in my adult life. Having just danced around the room spilling my beer everywhere, stubbing my toe and shouting "ave that you skate bastard" while banging on my next door neighbours* wall when news of ours and Wigan's winner came in I've just realised that it's still in there. And I'm so glad it is. *despite being a skate my next door neighbour is sound so I will pop round later and apologise (and gloat a bit at the same time!!).
up and away Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 The humble pie seems to be going down extremely well this dinner time!
Fuengirola Saint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 We won in the cup in 1979 1-0 i think
Gemmel Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Jeff Stelling you ****le.... Smashed the remote down after he annouced Preston had taken a 3 2 lead..... only to see mCgoldricks name come on the miny printer
1976_Child Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 radio hampshire hasnt restarted streaming the third half on the internet! come on sort it out...i want to hear the reaction...
Big_Bald_Si Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Brilliant - didn't think for a minute we'd come back into it after being 2-0 down. Great result. Just hope we can build on it. Oh and such a shame about skates losing too!! A great time for Heskey to score his solitary goal for the season!
Arizona Posted 1 November, 2008 Author Posted 1 November, 2008 What a fantastic fight back.. Well done lads. I can't remember the last time that WE were the side coming back from 2 - 0 down to win.. Barnsley at home last season, but we didn't get it quite right.
forever a red and white Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 yes, what a day. this is what football is about btw last week of football and in the prem has been amazing. Yes!
Toadhall Saint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 now that has put a huge smile on my face!
Colinjb Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Jeff Stelling you ****le.... Smashed the remote down after he annouced Preston had taken a 3 2 lead..... only to see mCgoldricks name come on the miny printer Haha Thats how bad it is, they just assumed we had conceeded late. After all, 5 years of trend is difficult to work against.
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 JP says the happiness of the fans, helped the happiness of the players!
Rod Le Shearer Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 amazing effort second half. must admit I stopped listening at half-time,and didnt turn on untill we equalized ! when was the last time we came from TWO behind to win an awaygame..?? must have been atleast 10 years ago.. COYR !
DT Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 always knew they'd do it. ahem. Brilliant result and it sounds like the pierce boy got the momentum moving. could be the season's starting point. partially down to my new baby daughter, Daisy. she's been born eleven days and we're still unbeaten! all ints day indeed!
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 I really never saw that coming. I didn't think the players had it in them. I don't know what happened 2nd half today, but it was f**king fantastic and I want more of it!!! Off to buy alcohol for urgent celebration.
Mr Saints Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 This may just be the afternoon where I fall back in love with Southampton Football Club.
saints-cris Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Haha Thats how bad it is, they just assumed we had conceeded late. After all, 5 years of trend is difficult to work against. Stelling actually said that Preston had scored. Only when he saw it on the vidiprinter did he correct himself - So really it's even worse, OTHER people assume we concede late on !
krissyboy31 Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Jeff Stelling you ****le.... Smashed the remote down after he annouced Preston had taken a 3 2 lead..... only to see mCgoldricks name come on the miny printer I nearly threw mine through the telly. Still great result, totally unexpected at half-time. COYR!!
Saint Martini Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 must admit.... i stopped listening at half time...:smt010 wtf happened! Now I'm really having a laugh
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 I ............ I ............................ ........................................... .............................................. am .............................................. ............................................................. "Are you SaintRichmond in disguise...." Great result and as well as the points something we have not seen for a while coming back from two goals down, eventually you get what you want, I mean, look at Madonna, she wanted to be more British, now she's a single mum with three kids one of which is black, transformation complete
Jonnyboy Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 well done saints. Now everyone - go and read all the comments on the first and second half threads! What a lot of negative hysteria! Too right mate!
krissyboy31 Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 This may just be the afternoon where I fall back in love with Southampton Football Club. I think it will take a few home wins on the trot to do it for me but it's a start.
tombletomble Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 What a result. I am so happy now. Haven't been in this good a mood for weeks. Next up, a game live on sky...
corsacar saint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Terrific result, well done Saints. We now have to win back to back games for the first time this season.
Yate Saint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 A fitting tribute in memory of Paula Here here
Window Cleaner Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 According to the Preston OS, Saint's pace on the break is "scary"
Toomer Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 I was another that turned the radio of just after half time, kept the telly off, log on hear to read the Jan bashing, WTF went on in the 2nd half.
andymcrowe Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Fuengirola Saint ....hello from a Frigiliana Saint! You probably heard me cheering from just up the coast. Are you also a Malaga supporter? Cheers Andy
ulstersaint Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Stelling actually said that Preston had scored. Only when he saw it on the vidiprinter did he correct himself - So really it's even worse, OTHER people assume we concede late on ! In the first half Jeff Stelling (who seems to have a soft spot for Saints) described us as "hapless Saints". And that hurt - so how sweet was it coming back from 0-2 down to win 3-2. I got over to see the draw v Coventry and thought Saints played fairly well, but I didn't see this result coming from the 11 who played on Tuesday. So the changes for today's match must have made a big difference (Pearce, Lancashire, Gobern, BWP etc). I look forward to a report from someone who trekked up the M6 today.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 Fantastic win and to think i was so fed up at half time. Very happy tonight and may even watch our five seconds on the Champoinship tomorrow. Well done Saints and well done to the fans that made the trip. Off for a beer now.
tombletomble Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 how many goals has DMG got so far this season? I think its 7 now
Saint Bri Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 What a result!!!! Get me a pound, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket!!!
Window Cleaner Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 how many goals has DMG got so far this season? 7 ,I think, all competitions included. Maybe 8 I don't know
Saint Bri Posted 1 November, 2008 Posted 1 November, 2008 In the first half Jeff Stelling (who seems to have a soft spot for Saints) described us as "hapless Saints". And that hurt - so how sweet was it coming back from 0-2 down to win 3-2. You're right, he always seems a bit gutted when we're losing and chuffed when we're winning. Same with Swindon for some odd reason...
