trousers Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 This is entering into the realms of a Golden Thread. Anyway to hack into those Average Speed cameras they have on the M3 these days? link that to facial recognition software could try use the FB stuff and that all helps ensure Trousers can drive safely rather than staring into every passing car Nice idea but my earlobe database doesn't cover Far East citizens yet. Due for rollout in 2013 though, so keep your ears to the ground for that one.

Pilchards Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 If you have been travelling the whole day then the last thing you want is a guy examining you with rubber gloves on. Crazy Diamond Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 Actual news (Maybe) I have just spoken to a French journalist who tells me that Lee held discussions with a 'top' French club, but there is now no doubt that he is going to Southampton. Other reports suggest personal terms have been agreed.

sotonjoe Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 http://www.theelastico.com/?p=1262 Decent article from a few months back. Interesting detail about Lee's game there. They stress the fact that he likes to play deep and link with the midfield and that he's a good target man. Not sure if that all seems rather similar to Ricky though to be honest. If you watch the footage of him those parts of his game are clear. But he also seems to be a goal poacher. As the article says, perhaps with better service he would score more, because he seems to have the technique.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 Looks like we are getting Beckham as well then, both stolen from under the noses of PSG Never mind, they'll make do with a couple of second raters in Pato and Kaka, 60+ million euros on the table, they only wanted Beckham to sell shirts anyway and maybe get free tickets for the Olympics. S-Clarke Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 Is it OK not to give a toss about this bloke really and wish we were getting on with some real signings?? I don't know, I'm quite excited by him to be honest and the views people in asia have of him. Seems to be a pretty decent international striker with a decent scoring record. If the fee is correct, 500k, then we're laughing really. £8m for Jay Rod, who has never played in the premiership or above championship, or £500k for this fella who has played international and scored in a high profile international final against Australia. If it happens It could be a masterstroke. We shall see.

As you said, we don't really have the luxury anymore if we're serious about getting out of this league.

Window Cleaner Posted 3 January, 2012 Share Posted 3 January, 2012 With Rickie's suspension will we have that luxury? Lee won't have played since the end of November, beginning of December,so he's not going to be match fit in a high intensity league like the NPC from the day his work permit drops onto the mat is he. You're both assuming he's going to sign that soon and be available that soon. We're not certain of anything yet. I'd p1ss myself if this is complete carp. Lots of egg on faces. Yes it had occurred to me, but like anything in life you can only go on what you think and what you're told. All I know is that I saw what looked to be him a fair while ago, I'm told he was in Europe at around that time, he's in London tonight and in Japan they think it's all tied up. If it doesn't happen, I won't be embarrassed by it, I might question these people who have made these claims.
