Was there anyone on this post who said it would take 3 months. No. They used it as an example as to why it might be a bit more complex than hopping across the channel. They were merely responding to your ridiculous assertion that someone living a 15hr plane ride away should be here within 15.5hrs otherwise the deal is bound to be off, we're all doomed, might as well resign ourselves to League 1 argument.

7 working days is what it took from permit to landing - 6 if you discount the time difference / flight.

Has it ever occurred to you that whilst some of your arguments may have merit, they get lost in the hysterical cesspool of ****e that you post the rest of the time? (see this thread for numerous examples).

What the f was all the panic about -

Haha!

All this has proved is that no-one had the slightest f u king clue what was happening with Lee.

But this didn't stop them coming up with exotic theories as to why he was delayed, and then get enraged due to said theories. Waiting for his mum to knit him a scarf my arse.

Explicitly ? Perhaps not. But they used that comment against those of us who said with all the support resources and support available to a professional footballer joining a high-profile affluent club, the activity was taking surprisingly long.

And I cannot help the fact that some of you cannot filter the "****e" from the decent points, and take a comment at its merit. I dont see why we should all agree or make palateable comments all of the time.

Including those who banged on about how their own fred-in-the-shed institutions working on shoestring budgets took 3 months to perform similar relocations, and that somehow this provided some sort of a benchmark..........

Btw, did you take the scarf comment seriously ? It was a flippant remark.

Sorry to intrude in all the personal arguments going on on this thread, but as a genuine, no-hidden agenda, question ....do we know for certain he is now in the UK, and does anyone know any more about when he will actually sign his contract and be confirmed as our player?

Japanese journalist said he arrived at Heathrow last night but couldn't speak to the media.

I can confirm 100% that NA spoke with Lee yesterday F2F, and is in the building.

So if that journalist is genuine, and correct (but his tweet is the only source?), it would seem reasonable to expect that the OS will announce his signing today.

We could do with a morale boost after Monday.

Tadanari Lee has completed his move to Saints. Full details on the official site, here -> bit.ly/w2TQl6#saintsfc

Saints are delighted to announce that Japanese striker Tadanari Lee has completed his move to the club.

One of the hottest properties in Asian football has arrived at Southampton keen to push Saints into the Premier League.

Tadanari has established himself as a leading light in the J League, scoring 15 goals in 32 Japanese top flight games last year, whilst his memorable winning strike against Australia in the Asian Cup epitomises the quality that he will bring to the English game.

The paperwork has finally been cleared so that Lee, who will wear the number 19 shirt at Saints, has been able to rubber stamp his free transfer from Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

The 26 year-old forward has put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal, after rejecting several advances from top flight European sides, and will be immediately available for selection.

He could therefore make his debut in Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Millwall.

Tadanari Lee commented: "I am very excited to join Southampton, it has been a long process, but I am now looking forward to joining my teammates and playing football. I feel good and ready, so will await the call from the manager on when I can put on the red and white shirt.

"I was made very welcome when I came to Southampton a few weeks ago, it is like a family here and everyone was very kind to me. I got such a warm feeling from being here because everyone is so friendly.

"I want to help the team to great things, we all want to get to the Premier League, and I am the same. I hope that I can show the fans that they can trust me to play my best for the club at all times."

First Team Manager Nigel Adkins added:

"I am delighted to have secured the signing of Tadanari Lee. He is an international forward and a player with immense talent, who will add to our striking options.

"He has a good attitude about him and possesses quality in the final third that will complement our other forwards. I'm very much looking forward to seeing him produce for the team.

"I have no doubts that he will settle in quickly because he has been made to feel very welcome by everyone at the club."
