Have to agree with you Alpine. Some people here are quoting how long it takes to emigrate from the UK to countries such as US, South Africa and so on. Totally irrelevant IMHO, and some of them are so bureaucratic that it is true, it can take a long time to get sorted (though I never had any trouble getting into either personally, it was all arranged in a couple of days or so, admittedly now 10+ years ago in both cases). Getting into the UK is about as simple as it can be. After all most of the country is continually moaning about how simple it is for migrants to enter the country. Well it is even easier if you have all the relevant paper work (work permit) already in hand and on top of that you are a professional sportsman. I have no idea whether this deal has gone wrong or not, but just feel something is not right, there is no need for such a delay. I'm not talking about whether he is available to play tomorrow or not, that's irrelevant, he probably would not be ready anyway. I do hope to see T Lee here very soon, and I think he will be a good addition, but just detect a faint whiff of rat somewhere.

Let's say you're right and getting into the UK is really easy. Does anyone actually know how easy the procedure for exiting Japan is? Cos if they don't then all this paranoia and speculation is pretty pointless

It's dead easy - one of the pleasures of going to and from Tokyo is how straightforward it is.

Excellent, so perhaps the club are letting him take his time before making his final departure. There's no rush, we've got 20 league games left of the season. If our new striker has to miss one of those games to make his move halfway across the world as comfortable as possible, so be it. If he scores goals as good as this one, he can take another week IMO

Maybe it's all a ruse and he's been in the country a week. ;-)

...perhaps hiding in a wardrobe in the dressing rooms ..?.....or sleeping on a camp bed in Cortese's office ?

Personally i think it is all a bit strange if he isnt over here yet.If he is here, i wish the club would confirm the signing.

Adkins said after The coventry game he had expected to have him involved for Leicester, although the The Forest Match would probably be too soon, or words to that effect.

Ive never seen such rubbish about all the hassle of moving, the club take care of everything as far as his relocation in The Uk is concerned and a few loose ends at home is hardly the end of the world on the basis the season ends in just over 3 months and he'll then have all summer to sort out his gas bill.

Looks like the blokes done a runner.

Does rather doesn't it, I don't seem to remember Delgado and Chala taking this long to arrive from Ecuador in fact I seem to remember a very cold looking Chala warming up at Bolton in the Carling cup within days of signing. More recently the much hearlded Sarmiento managed to arrive from Argentina in double quick time as did the equally effective Marcel Tejera from Uraguay.

Was really optomistic about this signing but I've now got the alarm bells ringing and I'm normally reall positive about anything saints related.

Why would he want to "do a runner" ?

It's about administrative proceedures more than anything else, perhaps his work permit wasn't actually granted on the day

mentioned. It could be that they obtained GBE from the FA on that day but the actual permit was granted a bit later.

Then there's the question of Hiroshima, are we paying them or is he waiting for his contract to run out ? I noticed that most J League contracts seem to run to 31st January XXXX.

Big contract offer from West Ham! Apparently they became interested when he qualified for a Work Permit!

Noooooo. Please no on-pitch signing. Remember how succesfull the last eternal f**k-about / on-pitch signing was....

Nobody signed on the pitch. Skacel and Waigo both came out to meet the crowd after signing, that was it. Can't remember us doing it any other time.

William Hill have Tadanari Lee at 11/2 to score first and 6/4 to score anytime - what do they know that we dont?

Funny!

You can place bets for him to score with 12 bookies! Get on 13/2, it's the best price!

I think the great philosopher Jasonis puncehonis quotation is apt for this thread Rumours are carried by haters, spreaded by fools & accepted by idiots".

They also have Ryan Doble in the market despite him being on loan at Bury. Not the most accurate odds complied ever.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it (I can't be bothered to read through 30 pages of drivel, it's ridiculous), but have any of you whingers and doubters not realised it's Chinese AND Korean New Year today and they have all week to celebrate.

He's Korean, right? Think about it.

You f*cking stupid, thick, lame, whinging bunch of c*nts. No wonder no one uses this forum, no wonder it's appeal has ended for many people if sarcastic fat c*nts like Alpine exist, posting on here.

Erm, right, Ok....

I reckon we should withdraw the offer to him and go looking elsewhere tomorrow. We have a week of activity left. He's not what we need most urgently anymore.

What, like he was flying in last Saturday ? Reckon we're being fobbed off.

I'm sure Adkins wouldn't lie about this to us. He says Lee is coming this week, that's good enough for me.
