Six goals in four games in League One. Not bad. Not sure why Fulham would sell though, sounds like a promising player serving a good apprenticeship.

Goals in L1 don't count though, according to some people on the Jordan Rhodes thread.

Good young player. His loan deal is up next month at Wycombe so could easily come here on loan for the rest of the year.

Haven't seen much of him to be honest, but he's creating a pretty big reputation for himself.

This chap could be our big signing that we need, if only on a temporary loan. Thank goodness the management are acting so swiftly to ensure our place in the league for next year.

There are no words to describe you.

Just sharing what I know. Choose to believe what you like! May happen may not who knows.

I certainly wouldn't give details of who mentioned it to me as it could cause friction for them at work.

So it was Elvis? We wont tell anybody he is still alive, honest.

This looks a credible suggestion TBF - Italian connection .... I can see this one happening .. hopefully.

Now then, a £5M offer for Adomah please, or go find Michael Antonio for another hurrah.

So can I - thats what I think the Radio Solent message was about Sharp and Maynard resetting expectations.

I think it will be 2 low named loans not who we all are expecting like Jut/Beckford/Rodriguez.

I still have a nagging doubt whether we are as financially sound as we are led to believe.

Nothing bad just not have the millions, the Ox money used to pay off the clubs losses the previous season?

Yes I think this could be a possibility too. You have to say we have done amazingly well getting the best out of what we have.

I hope the wage bill/income balances a lot better in the Championship as we're not going to find £12m every couple of years to clear the decks.

We already have the next one lined up to Wenger in Luke Shaw.

Would this be loan or signing? What sort of price? Do saints have any money?

I'd imagine it'll be a loan signing, after his deal @ Wycombe expires. Doubt Fulham will sell after seeing his potential.

On the bench today for Wycombe - could be construed as strange given his current form.

Sky Sports site now saying he started!! Nothing to see here after all.

We need another player like Chaplow!

Also, why loan out Doble and go for this guy? Surely they've both got something to prove? If Doble goes to Bury and scores 4 in 8 games then people will be saying we should've kept hold of him and given him a run out. I could understand loaning Doble and going for a proven goalscorer at this level but to me this doesn't make any sense.

Doble's loan record is nothing like as impressive as Trotta's. Makes sense this - good back up for Rickie Lambert

I've seen him in a couple of games, via highlights and also live on TV in one of them...and he reminded me of Charlie Austin.

Looks to have that ''knack'' of being in the right place at the right time and has excellent movement too. I reckon he could score bags of goals with the service at this level too. Looks like a proper natrual goal scorer who would score at whatever level you put him at, provided the service is good.

His league one record suggests he's a natural finisher as well as being young.

Austin made the step up so put it this way, if we took him on, I wouldn't frown at it.

Decent back up I'd say.

Never frown at having another goal scorer in the building. They're priceless.

I would hope this would be a loan to purchase deal to be honest otherwise (assuming he gets starts), the team spirit might take a bit of a tumble. Need to remember loaned players are at another club usually largely for their own purposes IMO.

One or two is fine. Their own purpose is to play well, learn and improve. The problem is when you rely on them like some teams do ie Doncaster. But Borini did no harm for Swansea last season, nor Pacheco at Norwich!

Im sure NA picks the right characters as we seem to have a good team spirit and that can also be harmed with permanent transfers. We have no prima donas!

True - this guy might be OK as at 19 he is still quite young and probably quite happy to play 2nd/3rd fiddle to our established strikers.
