Lallana - I was right to stay at Saints

Fulham or wolves would temp any League 1 player away. We will only be a team on this level when we go up into the premier league so do not kid yourselves. I think he could show that he is doing things the right way and developing through the leagues and will make his way to the top. Will be interesting to see what would happen if someone from the top 5 came along for him!

True Saint COYR!!

...but...there can't be too many League One players that would give up the opportunity to jump 2 divisions straight into the Premiership.

In January Blackpool, West Ham and Brum were all 2 divisions above us. 8 months later we were above all of them in the league. Going from a team like maybe Walsall or Oldham to a team like Villa would seem an obvious choice. Going from a team chasing L1 promotion to a team near the bottom of the Prem maybe isn't so clever. Imagine if he'd gone to Wolves in January and they'd gone down. He'd look a complete tit now.

Not saying he isn't loyal, but jumping from League 1 to the Prem isn't always as clever as it might look.

I thought villa would be interested after losing downing and young, but thankfully they have a clueless manager like many others. Nzogbia?! Good choice. AL would add a lot to many prem teams, has the technique and composure many are missing. If he was French arsene would have him by now, but he only likes the English for fast wingers.
I know you think AL is the best ever player outside of the prem...truth is..he is not even the best player in our team...he is a good player and on his day unplayable...but I think we hold him too high a regard sometimes.....you think he is better than Tarbaat from last season....well, lets see if AL gets 20+ league goals..god knows how many assists and wins player of the season.....??AL is good but lets not pretend his is god almight outside of the prem...
