Lambert in Pub Incident

If, and I do mean, 'if' this turns out to be true, then this indicates a serious flaw in our discipline. First Lee, then Danny and now possibly Rickie. City centres are full of ars*holes and trusting the player is one thing but trusting the randoms around is quite another.

I hate to repeat the same mantra I've been saying for quite a few years now but Southampton in particular is top-heavy with JLS lookalikey tough guys who get a bit cocky when they've had a drink or their perma-tanned brainless **** buddy has just given them the elbow. I'd bet my balls that it wasn't Rickie who has a discipline problem, it's probably more to do with how many f()cking c()nts there are in Southampton.

Christ, I sound angry but I'm really not surprised anymore. The city is, quite frankly, full of utter pr1cks.

Why what did he do? what were the circumstances? Did he attack or was he defending....?

Christ this thread is full of look at me's I know something that you lot don't...post and run away.

Maybe so, but there are a lot of relevant questions based purely on the face value of the situation. Another Saints player apparently (at this stage) in a bar fight.... and of all players of most important one.

All cities mate, all cities. Compared to Coventry (my home) Southampton is utterly tranquil. Yet they are still out there, with the massive chip on their shoulder looking to take down anyone that winds them up.

I agree. We seem to have far more than our fair share of c*nts.

I would say Southampton, IMHO, is one of the worst for it in my experience. Never been to Cov, but of course, you're defo right when you say there are ****heads everywhere.

I believe the incident in question happened at the Bedes Lea pub. Not particularly JLS types in there?

They get everywhere!

Sweeping generalisation, so my next best guess would be a 35-50 yo, sweaty, golf chained, beer-bellied faux-yachty type who took offence to someone who is idolised more than himself. Just a guess... (if that's wrong, can I have one more?)

To be fair as others say you get knob heads everywhere these days. Don't know why players go out drinking, doubt I'd bother if I was them.

Happened in the Baddesley Arms last night. Old bill and press were asking questions this morning.

So in other words some knob head thought they would have a go at Lambert, came at him with a pool cue, Rickie defended himself, end of story (hopefully) otherwise PC Plod would have been on the scene last night and not this morning.

You'd kinda think lambert of all people would resist getting involved in any fight having witnessed what Barney is going through...

Fingers crossed it was no biggy and as said above it obviously wasn't serious enough for the police to sort at time of incident and left it to this morning.

Youve just got to stay away from the sh*t venues - I go out in Soton, neverbeen to Ikon, Diva, Reflex or 90 degrees in my life.

Anyway, North Baddesley isnt Southampton but it does have dirty pikeys.

Can't imagine it was unprovoked or unwarranted.

Saw him in town after the derby and he was completely down to earth and a good laugh. A stark contrast to our last star striker that everyone wanted back a few months ago (who can't even get into the Sheffield United team)

I've stopped going there now - only rare occasions do I make a sacrifice (friends birthday) and thankfully, they've now seen the sense of avoiding all the trouble hotspots in town (which pretty much rules out everywhere with the exception of Oxford Street).

****ing pikeys.
