Brighton team to face saints

They currently have 4 players on 4 yellows (Greer, Calderon, Taricco & LuaLua) and 1 player on 9 yellows (Dunk). If any of those players pick up 1 more yellow in their next game they will be missing against us. With Brighton's disciplinary record I'd say the chances of at least 1 of those getting a yellow is quite high. Barnes & Vincelot are already suspended against us (last of both their 3 match bans).

Don't know how they are injury wise but they could well be depleted!

Navarro (CM) booked so will miss the game. Hope one of the defenders is banned as they have no cover.

Based on this Navarro was only on 3 booking before the game so won't be out of Monday's game...

Greer

Noone

LuaLua

Tarrico

Dunk

Are all in today's squad and are one booking away from missing the Saints game.

Liam Bridcutt will be back from suspension, but they really are down to the bare bones atm.

Navarro is suspended for the Saints game because he got his 5th booking today.

The Football League site says he was on 3 bookings before today in league + cup games.

As posted above the BBC Stats page says it is 4, however if you go though their results I can only find 3.

He was booked against :-

(1) Sunderland LC in 54 min; (2) Liverpool LC in 39 min and (3) Us 65 min.

just having a nose and see that brighton have god knows how many players out with a few more on the yellow card limit when they go to cov

they could well have all of their first choice back 4 out.........

surely we can do the double on them...?

For the reasons you have stated, they will be playing their fringe squad players, some of which may have a point to prove, and we will produce our usual tripe preformance when the odds are stacked in our favour.

We will lose.

Why are you so negative? No wonder you appear to be at odds with so many things Southampton FC related these days. Nothing is achieved with a negative attitude. No-one can deny that the sum of our team is greater than the parts - we're top of the league at the half-way stage and the Manager is a positive person who has created a positive environment. Can you imagine what we'd be like if he shared your opinion?

I remember conversing with you after the Walsall game last season and you were all doom and gloom. You may be a negative person in general but I can assure you football is far more fun when you attempt to get some enjoyment from it.

I don't think for one minute you want Saints to lose but at the same time I don't understand why you are so pessimistic. Look at all we've achieved this calendar year - how can you be in the frame of mind you are after that?

De Ridder--Schneiderlin--Cork--Lallana

That team if fit would beat Brighton easily.

Good team, would like to see Connolly up top again.

Hammond will play though as Morgan is suspended for this one.

Cardiff City "Reserves" did alright against us earlier on in the season did they not?

We really should be too good for their 1st XI let alone a patched up side, but on the day if our attitude isn't quite right and we don't get the rub of the green who knows what will happen.

Even Dagenham without SRL would fancy their chances against this lot at the moment though!!

COYS back to the good old days of 3-1 away wins please, although I'd happily accept 3-0!!
