doubleonothing Posted 27 December, 2011 Posted 27 December, 2011 We seem to play Eastleigh every pre-season in a friendly but I was wondering if we have any official link up with them or any other club? I seem to vaguely recall 10 years ago (maybe more) that we announced a link up with a Korean or Chinese side. Anyone else remember this or did I imagine this? On another note could you see us having a link up in the future as part of the 5 year plan (or another plan) -perhaps for commercial reasons - and if so where would you like to see us form such a link? (this thread may have been inspired by FM)

Especially now with their new ownership wanting to be in the League in a few years, this could work out really well for us loaning them players. Spanish teams have B teams and see no reasons why we shouldn't help a local team out while giving our youth player great experience without them going too far.

In fact Eastleigh have actually complained that we reneged on those fixtures by sending a youth team, when it was agreed it would be a first team game.

The friendlies against Eastleigh have been happening long before we signed Aaron Martin.
