Online and telephone booking system out of action until lunchtime at the earliest

I know I've posted about this in another thread but thought it was worth highlighting it in a separate thread so it was more obvious to people.

I've been trying to book tickets online for Bristol City yesterday and this morning but keep getting "unable to connect to card processor" messages after clicking on 'BUY'. However, I was still getting a booking confirmation emailed to me but with the wrong amount. (all adult tickets rather than the 2 adults, 1 child that I ordered).

I've just phoned the ticket office and they've got the same problem there - the interface between the booking system and the payment gateway is down - hence it's not possible to book tickets over the phone either at the moment.

He said they are hping to have the link to the bank back up again "by lunchtime" but then said it "could be as late as tomorrow morning".

So, if you want tickets for the Bristol City it's "cash only at the ground" for the time being.

Grrrrr....

Edit: beware....the 'booking confirmations' (as I suspected) are false....he checked my account and nothing has gone through so don't be led into a false sense of security if you receive a booking confirmation....best to phone the TO to double-check it hasn't gone through....

As you suggested on the other thread, I called the Ticket Office and said "Mr Trousers suggested I call you." The guy laughed out loud. You must be a legend there!

Anyway - to business - he confirmed there was a glitch with the booking system, he checked my record card, confirmed I had NOT booked tickets up to that point according to what he could see, told me the confirmation email was false, and let me book again online to save booking fees. Said I shouldn't have been charged by the credit card people, but get back to him if I am charged.

So, all in all, back up and running.
