Early kick offs are always a bit subdued. Most normal people haven't been to the pub for a couple of hours before the game, so aren't particular well oiled. That and it's boxing day, people are a bit hung over and there are a lot of people who don't normally turn up.

lots of very young children and pensioners on their annual game with the family makes boxing day crowds invariably ****. All Saints are welcome by me, but the extra fans doesn't generate extra atmosphere.

I was totally hanging..and also trapped in the family centre with my nephew who decided to throw up the turkey sandwich he'd eaten for lunch at various intervals as well as frequently requiring the toilet.

Lack of the affluence of incohol, easy controlled win, saving ourselves for Friday, even the overseas visitors. ;-)
Next you'll be saying "quite" when you mean "quiet" :)

We were in such control there was nothing to get worked up about.

Palace fans sung "You only sing when you're winning" which was a bit stupid really as we were winning for most of the game and we weren't singing.

Personally I think it is good thing that, we as a set of fans do seem to sing and get behind the team more when we are losing or when the game is tight.

Was quite shocked by how quiet it was and put it down to being in such control so it didn't feel like the players needed the 12th man. Hope that's not going to be a regular thing when we're flying in the prem with a full house every week ;) :)

Indeed, quite quiet.

FFS was it quite quiet or quietly quite - these things are important to fans in exile...!

FWIW I think it was quite quiet because it wasn't loud...!
