jimbojones10 Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Lambert also in there, no order apart from who is number one, lallana got double the votes of everyone else http://theseventytwo.com/football-league/championship/2011/12/25/the-best-player-in-the-championship-as-voted-for-by-you/

Lambert is the best and much better player. End products better.
THEVMAN Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Afraid I don't agree at all! Lambert is the best and much better player. End products better.Dont worry mate its only opinions im sure RL will still get Saints player of the year.
VectisSaint Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Odd really, he really has.not been that good.this seaon very often. This seems.to be.largely based on how.good.he was last. He clearly now has a reputation. I expect he will be class from now on in.
Sour Mash Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Afraid I don't agree at all! Lambert is the best and much better player. End products better. Agreed. Not sure how much Lallana's injury has played a part, but he's slightly disappointed so far this season.
Colbury Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Lallana was very good first 6 or so games .. Pretty average since. Still don't think he's fully fit since his injury.
dubai_phil Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Dont worry mate its only opinions im sure RL will still get Saints player of the year. Yeah.. Guys - a Saints player wins BEST IN THE LEAGUE award. And posters are moaning. Adam IS the best player in the Championship. Rickie is our Player of the Season. Minor technical pedantic point there. Let's hope these wins keep coming, hell 11 players in nPc team of the Year will be perfect.

They are just saying they disagree with the decision.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 25 December, 2011 Posted 25 December, 2011 Well done Adam roll on the best player in the premiership award next season!
SFC Forever Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 Does that mean we won't have bought Messi?
Channon's Sideburns Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 Christ on a bike. I've slagged off Lallana a few seasons ago but people criticising him for winning a f'n award?! There's an empty club down the M27 that has space for you.
Roger Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 Christ on a bike. I've slagged off Lallana a few seasons ago but people criticising him for winning a f'n award?! There's an empty club down the M27 that has space for you. Far from criticising him, we were just saying we thought lambert was more worthy.
sotonian Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 Does that mean we won't have bought Messi? Nah lallana would make him look sh--e
Chez Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 he is different gravy and earlier in the season showed it to everyone. He has clearly come back too early and not performed until the skate game. He'll have a stormer today.
Ohio Saint Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 That injury set AL back a long way. He seems to be on his way back though. He's already jinking his way past defenders, just has to get back into scoring habits as well as far as I could see from the last couple of televised games. When he is fully back to normal form he will be proving that voting result correct.
Leicestersaint Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 Well I agree for sure - AL is the best championship player by a country mile.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 Only criticism I have (not just of AL but of many others actually) is that we 'fart' about too much in front of goal - we don't shoot anywhere near enough.
Sergei Gotsmanov Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 He is a class act. Is he the only player we have left from the Youth cup finalist team?
Roger Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 He is a class act. Is he the only player we have left from the Youth cup finalist team? No way he's the best player. Thought he was v poor today and has been for a while.
THEVMAN Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 No way he's the best player. Thought he was v poor today and has been for a while.I think we get where you are coming from mate,i dont think you need to keep going over old ground
TheSaint75 Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 No way he's the best player. Thought he was v poor today and has been for a while. I know its all about opinions but I feel your just wrong. It is arguable if he is our best player but to say is was 'v poor today and has been for a while' is ludicrus. He may not be playing as well as he can but he is still better than 90% of players in this league even on an off day.
sammysaint Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 im sorry lallana is quality and in games vs leeds for example and pompey he showed class, his name on the team sheet is enough for teams to worry.
Golden Balls Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 im sorry lallana is quality and in games vs leeds for example and pompey he showed class, his name on the team sheet is enough for teams to worry. Agreed. Players double up on him which gives the rest of our team more space. He had a bit of a lull after injury but was back to his best against pompey and Palace

He had a bit of a lull after injury but was back to his best against pompey and Palace He's a good player but no way did he play well today. Lost the ball loads and final ball v poor.
landford.saint Posted 26 December, 2011 Posted 26 December, 2011 He's a good player but no way did he play well today. Lost the ball loads and final ball v poor. Sorry have to disagree with you. Lallana was no worse with his passing than any Saints player today, and far better than most Palace players. Yes of late he hasn't been his sharp self, and there may be a little lack of confidence that he is overcoming, but the last couple of games he has seen a marked improvement back to his old self. His join up play quick and incisive. Yes sometimes it didn't come off, but so sometimes didn't Lamberts, Guly's, Fox's or Fonte's.
