Corporate Seats Question

Going posh on Boxing Day. We've done it a couple of times before and it's a really good day. This time we have a guest, a Palace supporter. So the question is - is it OK in the corporate seats for him to celebrate if Palace score? It doesn't say "home supporters only" like on normal tickets and no-one is allowed to wear colours so I'm guessing that a small cheer and a little wave of a fist would be acceptable. Let's hope it doesn't arise. We sat in the home stands at Ashton Gate a few weeks ago and didn't have to worry about it. Sadly!

I've been in corporate once before when we were losing and they then scored again, one of their fans started cheering and generally celebrating. Some guy behind me took exception to this and threatened to punch him in the ear (strange threat I agree!) unless the stewards kicked him out.

I've also been there when opposing fans have done it and no problems.

Basic advice I guess would be so long as he's fairly respectful there wont be a problem. If he starts overdoing it, there is a good chance someone may threaten to punch him in the hip........

Well if you pay that sort of dosh then why shouldn't he celebrate if they score? But bearing in mind that those seats are only separated by a metal railing from the cheap seats it would be courteous on his part if his celebration was to be some what muted.

As for not wearing colours, does this apply to scarfs too?

We're getting there for 11.30ish but go for 11.00am. we want to enjoy as much of the day as possible - the relaxed bar, atmosphere and hospitality plus just the joy of no queuing for the loos (bearing in mind I'm a girlie!) makes being there early worth it. It's a great mixture of feeling "special" ( not as in needs!) but also really part of the club. They do it well.

Thanks to everyone who replied. It's me, my husband and our son - plus stepson from my husbands 1st marriage who is the palace supporter. Stepson is a really nice decent bloke. I love the thought of us all watching and supporting our teams together. I hope it will be a special day. But more special for us!

Happy Christmas.

Posh seats again.... alright for some eh! We did the box thingy at Coventry and no problems cheering as 4 goals went in.

Ziggy, the question has to be....did you celebrate in the portsmouth home end when Saints scored!

Enjoy your day tomorrow. Hope to meet up soon.

Hey stranger - good to hear from you. I was just winding the skates up pretending I was in the Fratton End as they needed help selling their tickets. In fact I was watching from the comfort and safety of my sofa!

Happy Christmas matey. Hope all is well, must meet up for a beer pre game soon.
Hi Si, will get in touch in the new year and work out a game when we can meet up. Might even be able to drag Ziggy off her sofa or the posh area.

Happy Christmas Si and Kate and all the others who we used to get together with or exchange views
