It's my favourite shopping day of the year...

 

I shall be making my seasonal excursion to the co-op at 5 p.m to stock up on all discounted hams and fresh meat.

I wish I could too, but I never know how long one can keep different kinds of meat in the freezer so I tend to buy as and when needed from the local butcher.

You may be too late. ASDA reduced all their meat and poultry last night. My daughter managed to get a £43 goose for £10. Ducks were £2.50 and turkeys sized to feed 16-20 people were £20. Whole legs of pork £4 each and a 3 kilo joint of topside £3.

Very disapointing. Co-op had nothing much so nipped into Tesco's and bought some sausages (reduced from 4 pounds to 2).

I got my Gammon and Pork from Waitrose, and the Gammon is cooking at the moment, and the pork I cooked earlier.....so smells of Christmas!!

 

I have also made a Cherry brandy cheesecake and a Chocolate Pecan tart!
