Sour Mash Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Who's doing this one? Not that I really care, just thought it should at least have it's own thread on here. £15/10 a ticket, can't really complain at that. Massive away end, so can spread out and stand miles from any plebs.

View From The Top Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 if anyone wants a game to boycott it is Leeds away this year, they are charging some teams £36 a ticket!! Was going to do just that but Corky Morris has blagged us some freebie corporates.

Colinjb Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 As this game involves a mere taxi ride to the stadium and a lot of pub time, yes, i'm in.
View From The Top Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Why are you boycotting over SISU? Bit harsh holding a grudge over a failed takeover attempt. Cov' fans have asked if we'd also boycott. I have genuine sympathy for them and their plight so, for once, I thought I'd show some solidarity.
saints_is_the_south Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Went in the league so no for this one. Had a great day though contrary to all of the reports about it being an awful away day. The pub by the canal was decent.
Berkshire Saint Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 I quite enjoyed this one for the league game but going to save money for Forest away the following week. Crowd will be pitiful for this one. Think we'll be doing well to take 1,000 up there.

Orange Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 First away i'll be missing since August. Can't justify missing work for this one.

adrian lord Posted 29 December, 2011 Posted 29 December, 2011 I ll be there. Predict a morgue atmosphere though.
ladysaint Posted 29 December, 2011 Posted 29 December, 2011 I will also be there, didn't realise that Cov fans are going to boycott it won't be many there then.
westmidlandsaint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Booked my tickets two of us travelling from redditch, worcs on the train just looked and Ricoh is bloody miles away from station any ideas on the best way of getting there??
Berkshire Saint Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 I just drank in town with a mate and picked up a taxi to the ground from there. Think it was £6/7 or so. Think there are buses running from the station too.
Sour Mash Posted 2 January, 2012 Author Posted 2 January, 2012 Booked my tickets two of us travelling from redditch, worcs on the train just looked and Ricoh is bloody miles away from station any ideas on the best way of getting there?? Its a hard one to call. Either you can get a cab up to one of the half-decent pubs nearish the ground, then pay for the bus back, problem is, that works out quite expensive, as the cost os a single on the bus back is nearly the same as a return would be and the cabs cost a fair bit, especially if there is just a couple of you in it. Or just go to one of the crappy pubs in town, like Spoons, and get a return on the bus, which is probably what my lot will do this time.
saint_jas Posted 2 January, 2012 Posted 2 January, 2012 Booked my tickets two of us travelling from redditch, worcs on the train just looked and Ricoh is bloody miles away from station any ideas on the best way of getting there?? £3.90 on the bus earlier in the season, just ask for a football special ticket. Didn't take too long to get their either from the station.
Sour Mash Posted 3 January, 2012 Author Posted 3 January, 2012 Anyone know what time the first bus up to the ground goes from the town centre bus station?
This Charming Man Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 I am going and I'm hoping for a crowd under 4,000.
JRM Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 I am going and I'm hoping for a crowd under 4,000. i have seen people mention that the Cov fans are boycotting, but is that actually confirmed anywhere? quite pleased i'm saving my money on this one to be honest.
Orange Posted 3 January, 2012 Posted 3 January, 2012 Shouldn't imagine we'll take too much more than a 1,000..

Far bit on here about their boycott, http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/forums/7-Coventry-City-General-Chat seems even more poorly organised than something Saints could manage. Prob be a crowd of about 8-9k I reckon, cheap tickets and an easy enough drive for Saints fans.
CFSFC Posted 4 January, 2012 Posted 4 January, 2012 I'm yet again going to the ricoh. What is wrong with me.
ericofarabia Posted 4 January, 2012 Posted 4 January, 2012 I'm yet again going to the ricoh. What is wrong with me. Bad behavior and sent to coventry again maybe

An odd sense of deja vu reading that forum... a team in the Championship relegation zone with fans discussing boycotting the club in order to force out unpopular owners/board members and a sticky thread talking about a new server

May as well do the game mate, what else you going to do with your Saturday afternoon. Don't become one of those lads that make out they've got a life away from football!

With nights out in Blackpool, Hull and Euro 2012 could do with missing this. We'll see though.
