Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Got one myself £151.66 Anyone that has moved address in the last 4 years should call and update records - you can also request a review of previous year’s tax. That’s how I got my £££’s
dune Posted 22 December, 2011 Author Posted 22 December, 2011 Mine was to do with my private health care I think, but not that interested to read through all the waffle.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 The missus got £218. Result.
stevegrant Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Mine was to do with my private health care I think, but not that interested to read through all the waffle. Likewise, but it was based on the 2007/8 tax year. A whole £1 of interest, total value of £98
Minty Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 you can also request a review of previous year’s tax. That’s how I got my £££’s Worth noting however that if you request a review you can also get a BILL for MORE tax if (one of) your employer(s) has f*cked up... so be doubly certain of your figures before you do, just in case.
1976_Child Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 I got £702.48 Accountant cost me £400 though. Still, buy a few beers over Christmas.

Dont think thats the case - they will only owe, never you owe them?
1976_Child Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Dont think thats the case - they will only owe, never you owe them? Ha! Dream on!
Minty Posted 22 December, 2011 Posted 22 December, 2011 Dream on indeed. Happened to someone I know, went through paperwork for 10/11 and 09/10, and seemed clear that they were due a few hundred quid rebate, but HMRC wrote back asking for details going back to 07/08 and it turned out a previous employer had used an incorrect tax code and so said person nwo owes HMRC £750. Ultimately it is of course money that should've been paid at the time and so there can be no argument about it, but it's bloody annoying if it happens.
