NAS Enclosure

Hello,

 

I'm thinking about getting a NAS enclosure for my home, to set up personal cloud storage.

 

Ideally, I would be able to access the files on it from my Win7 laptop, Win7 PC, Iphone and Ipad; both at home, via my LAN, and remotely via the web.

 

Can anyone suggest a good enclosure that is Ipad2 compatible, I only need to enclosure as I can get hold of SATA drives via work.

 

Have found this Noontec one, but it only has one hard drive slot, ideally the enclosure would have 2.

Don't want to spend too much on it, so anything around the £50 - £100 mark would be good.

I have a 500GB version this Buffalo unit.

It's ok but a little slow to upload to but streams to the TV/media centre fine.

 

I can also download stuff off it from my sons house which is cool.

If you can push the budget up a bit, I'd recommend a Synology DS211J (about £140, enclosure only). Reasonably fast, but the real plusses are the facilities and applications that make it so easy to set up for everything. Plenty of reviews online.
