Calling someone negrito in Spanish is not racist abuse. It's actually more of a term of endearment where Suarez is from.

They're not in a spanish speaking country though. I like to call my close mates ****s all the time, however if i started calling my colleagues and clients the same i'd be sacked in a minute!

and they were complimenting each other?...they were in an arguement..why would you use a term of endearment. Suarez is guilty as and using that excuse to get out of it blatently.

Exactly.

Fine, calling a black kid "little negro boy" could be a form of endearment in South America, but in no way was Suarez being chummy when he directed it.

Gets what he deserved.

Dalgleish is a **** also.

Reading the FA report, they are taking the word of one man over that of another. Evra accuses Suarez several times of abusing him, Suarez denies it. Nobody else heard anything. There is no video evidence that Suarez abused him. There are inconsistencies in Suarez's evidence but there are also inconsistencies in Evra's. For reasons I don't think are fair, the FA panel think that Evra is a more credible witness than Suarez so they believe Evra. Personally, I think the case against Suarez is weak and that is just from reading the FA panel's reasons. Given LFC's initial statement, there is likely to be an appeal I would imagine.

Someone in the crowd complained to the police about Terry, there was no other witness to the Suarez incident. I would assume that Evra did not complain to the police about his incident otherwise Suarez could well have ended up in the same situation as Terry.

I think this is what will see Terry escape punishment, because the police will find him innocent due to lack of evidence the FA can say that there is nothing further they can prove, so keeping Englands star defender fit for the run up to the Euros.

Red Alert is right about the CPS. They would have looked for evidence that proved guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. This case really boils down to one man's word against another's so I would imagine the CPS not taking it forward. One of the few pro-Suarez pieces in the media is here:
