kwsaint Posted 18 December, 2011 Share Posted 18 December, 2011 Similar thread to the Chaplow thread. Anyone know when we are likely to see David Connelly back? Could have done with him today. The game passed Guly by.
S-Clarke Posted 18 December, 2011 Share Posted 18 December, 2011 He is back in training, but he's been carrying an issue with his thigh that's been proving hard to shake off. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench over the christmas fixtures.
VectisSaint Posted 18 December, 2011 Share Posted 18 December, 2011 Was at the game today, so presumably must have been considered ready for the bench (usually take 19 and reduce down to 16 on the day I believe). Don't recall seeing Chappers though he looks OK in training.

Lighthouse Posted 18 December, 2011 Share Posted 18 December, 2011 I really don't think he was that good before he got injured TBH. After a bright start a lot of games seemed to pass him by.

He did start to struggle, after ''bursting'' into the season. We still look bright with him in the team though, and IMO Lambo's eyes light up when he's playing alongside him. He's the sort of nibble, nippy, technical striker that Lambo is the perfect partner for.

Lambo, Lallana and Conners were a great triangle of attack at the start of the season. Some of the interchanging was fantastic to watch. He should be back for Boxing day hopefully.
