dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 One Bluebird does not make a swallow or something COYR
NickG Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 a goal for McG in first game of season could be worth a lot for us, if he starts strutting confidently he will do well. Saw him play rubbish for youth but just had the air of taking it for granted he would score and he did! Have missed all first half could listenners give me a quick summary? walked passed tv with sky sports just before Cardiff scored and they said it was all Cardiff, Kelvin D shining like a beacon for saints and keeping us in it and killer doing ok. Any other comments on radio as to whats working and not?
Blanco Saint Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Commentary is on sky channel 0117 bbc Radio Wales -baaaaa

dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Question Is the combined age of our team actually less that that McNaughton bloke?
1965onwards Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 They only swallow some, then spit the rest back at you.

scott_saints Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 33,000 at Derby today to watch Doncaster! They're probably there to see Derby tbf.
pedg Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Have missed all first half could listenners give me a quick summary? According to audio sources we are going well. According to sky we should have been 10 nil down at half time.
dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 I bet all the girls in cardiff swallow Don't think they ever get the chance All the sheep and all that
AwaySaint1 Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Question Is the combined age of our team actually less that that McNaughton bloke? Think the team is about 215
Ohio Saint Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 33,000 at Derby today to watch Doncaster! They will soon learn
dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Think the team is about 215 cool, so we are younger than him then

Iowsaintsfan Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 They're probably there to see Derby tbf. I'd rather watch Doncaster!
TopGun Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 33,000 at Derby today to watch Doncaster! First ever CCC level game for Doncaster. They probably took a few and it isn't that far either.
Ohio Saint Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Chavs for a quid? I'll take 5. I need some hardcore for my drive.
dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 How many Saints fans up Cardiff today? 1500 and it's a complete sell out up there
1965onwards Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Why is Davis kicking so much long ball, instead off building from the back.Is the state of the pitch changing the way we were expected to play.
scott_saints Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Sounds like Cardiff all over us on Radio Wales.
Northampton Saint Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Possession on the BBC has gone up from 43% to 46% - hopefully a good sign of things to come. COYR
TopGun Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Why is Davis kicking so much long ball, instead off building from the back.Is the state of the pitch changing the way we were expected to play. That has to be a concern. JP was specifically talking about footballing fullbacks.
AwaySaint1 Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Why is Davis kicking so much long ball, instead off building from the back.Is the state of the pitch changing the way we were expected to play. "If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there." Brian Clough (21 March 1935 – 20 September 2004)
saint francis Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 So.... Is Surman playing as a wing back? Yes, left. Was pretty good there at times last season.
dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Cope is comparing KD to Edwin Van de Saar.... In a throwing the ball to the FB's sort of way...
Cascadia Saint Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Why is Davis kicking so much long ball, instead off building from the back.Is the state of the pitch changing the way we were expected to play. will cope disagrees with you mate..
scott_saints Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Great save by Davis. Should of been a goal from a header.
Arizona Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 See. You can do it if you try. I want Saints to win as much as anyone and am p*ssed off I could make the 10 hour round trip to Cardiff today. I just don't think we are very good. Maybe Sky are biased against us, who knows, but I don't think ou can make up about 5 top class saves to keep us in it. Let's agree on one thing: lol@Derby.
dubai_phil Posted 9 August, 2008 Posted 9 August, 2008 Does sound like we are only getting occassional flashes of possession, Cardiff seem to be all over us, KD great save
