Stood in the Fratton End that day (as did many Saints) as we couldn't get tickets for the Saints end. Was there again when we drew 2-2 ('87-'88 season) - Colin Clarke scoring both Saints goals that day. Was also there in 2004 when we lost 1-0 to the pikeys. I won't be there sunday alas - but I just know that come the final whistle - I'm so gonna wish I was!

Bottle thrown, hit me on the head, was taken to medical area (under the fratton) I was told i needed to go to hospital but I had to make my I own way back. I thought bugger that so went back to the game just in time to see Steve score which made it all worth it.

A little tip, if you need a ****, go during the game as you wont even get to the overflowing bogs if you start to queue at HT.

One time my GFs old man was having his 50th birthday dinner in a skate hotel and I had to fake a sudden illness to get out of it. Other than that I've found it fairly easy to avoid the sh!thole. FA cup when i had to sit on the stands with the rest of my skate supporting family and drew too much attention to myself when we scored the first goal. Topped it off by getting Sperring's (?) reserve gk signature on my programme in the stands. Not bad for a 14 yr old with Southampton attitude. Certainly showed my family who's boss even though my 87 yrs old gran still calls me a scammer!

Rednapp set us up to fail in 2005 , and players they shouldnt have been allowed to sign in 2010 beat us at ST Marys in the cup. Best games Bristol City being 2-0 down only to win 3-2 with and injury time goal from a Mr Andy Cole!! The other being a 5-1 Skates win in the pouring rain, and while me and my mate 14 years old at the time were getting stick, we lifted up our tops to show the red and white!!

It wasn't long thanks to John Sydenham I began going to the Dell on my own. I recall going to watch the Saints from the terraces at the Rust Bowl two or three times on my own till I went overseas. It was grim and got drenched one time and it poured with rain.

Then went to the 1-0 defeat, missed half the first half thanks to the local inbreds trying to kill us at the station, sh!t game, then locked in for an hour afterwards while they rioted. To be honest these games are more agro than they are worth, never a great day out. I will be happy to beat them Sunday then have them go out of business.

Fortunately my Dad also took me to a few games at the Dell, we only lived about 500 yds from there! My uncle was a fanatical Saints fan and he saw to it my football education took the right line. My first game at the Dell was in 1947, and I was hooked! From then on my only interest in Fratton was when my father was playing. I haven't been to Fratton Park, unless it involved the Saints since 1950. Who was your dad?

Given that the main rationale behind the bubble is that it's less invasive to freedom of movement than to hold people in the ground (as you have a choice to submit to the bubble but no option on the hold-back), I'd be pretty ****ed off if we get all this hassle AND held back - what it would do is prove that the secure area has no benefit to public safety and the bubble has failed.

Hardest thing I have ever done in my life, keeping the glum face on during that bus ride. Got off at his road, we let out a massive YEAAAHHH, fecking bus stopped at lights 100 yards up the road. That was a scary moment, but made it home safe then down the Fawcett Inn & (memory bad think it was Nero's) for a bucket load
