What a tw*t!! This comment is pathetic:

“We’re going down there as league leaders and we want to encourage all those people on the coaches to really make some noise for the boys at the game"

Right, well, of course I am going down to Skatesville and will sit down and discuss the latest issues in the Euro zone with my fellow Saints fans!!!! Make some noise, don't think we'll need any encouragement you tw*t, I'll be lucky if I have any voice left!!

Not the most worthwhile of causes. I'm all for us having more active and well organised fan organisation, for example on the recent ticketing fiasco for the Skates game, but don't think encouraging fans to wave flags and scarves at our coaches is going to really help anyone!

Right, you c****, I fully expect the full red carpet treatment and a guard of honour waiting when I get back off that bus sunday afternoon. Then, and only then, will I take the 3 points out of my pocket and hold them aloft in front of my adoring minions.....

I know for a fact that Meridian have been ringing up "TSA members" for comments... So id be inclined to blame the journos not the quotables, when they're not able to ascertain that these groups ceased to exist before Saints nearly did.

I have to say none of these monkeys represent me, brother Perry has only given me a bit of chirp along with Brother Richard before entering SMS for a supporters forum that they were not invited to. Why the Daily "bog roll" Echo give these no marks column width baffles me, because neither McMillen, Chorley, or Illingsworth represent any of my current thoughts regarding Southampton Football Club, nor probably most Saints fans.

Adam Leitch: stop being a lazy bloody hack and talk to real Saints fans for soundbites, not some gobshoites who have put a Poundland spotlight on themselves by some quirk of fate.

Media aren't interested in man in the street fans. For a while dozens of media outlets had my number through now defunct TSA One by one whenever they have rung me I have said I'm happy to give a personal view but I no longer represent any group. They apologise for bothering me and take me off their list. (Meridian still left an (ignored) voicemail this week but then they haven't contacted for years, strange that they are only interested when there's a Pompey angle t the story)

So those being quoted as SISA and Trust spokesmen either genuinely believe that they are representing the fans or are being , what was the phrase used in parliament? - economical with the truth.

Answer is anyone can set up a fans group, doesn't matter how big or small, and give their number out to the media. They'll contact you alright , believe me they would prefer to have as many names as possible they can seek for quotes but they'll only contact the people who have given them their details, and they can quote as some sort of spokesman

Astounding - The Echo loses the little tiny thread of credibility it had left now for me. If they are in touch with Southampton city in any way at all they will know that these two people represent no one but themselves, however our local paper persists in printing this garbage and calling it worthwhile news about Saints. Really pathetic and irritating...............
