why should it not be legal, plenty of people make home made wine and beer.Now if you tried to sell the resulting product without paying alcohol duty that would be illegal.

 

NB still has to be less than 5 litres capacity apparently,product for personal consomation uniquely...not even your mates.

Ethanol and methanol have totally different boiling points. If you use a modicum of care it is no more likely to make you go blind than masturbation. I once went to party in small town Sweden and was the only person there to have actually gone to a shop to buy their alcohol. You can use all kinds of things to flavour it. Parma Violets is a favourite.
