New name and suggestion to me.

I note some of their posters refer to a pending court case for him ,not sure if that is the sort of track record NA & NC will want to bring in to the building.

I thought about him in the summer, but up until now he'd never really realized his true form at Sheff U.

I think as with alot of good young players that looe their way slightly, sometimes dropping a level can regain belief and confidence and he's scoring for fun at the mo and to be fair is better than L1. He wasn't cheap either, I think they paid £3m for him from Man City when he was a very highly rated youngster and seemed destined for regular international honors.

I think it would be a good move, he's found his form and has his confidence back - and is finally showing his true potential.

Was vaguely decent at Man City, lost his way for a couple of years, started scoring goals again for Sheffield United in League One. Sort of age we like, sort of problems we don't, but you never know...

It was in the mirror a couple of sundays ago. Took it as press speculation so didn't post about it. Had a look at who he is on the internet and thought prospect material, then remembered I know jack about football and forgot about it.

As usual people will look at stats and say hes crap.

I've been to quite a few Sheffield Utd games over the last couple of years due to my dad being a fan and me going to University in Sheffield.

I think Ched would be a good signing. He's an energetic player, very hard working, fairly quick, strong and a handful. He is similar to CMS. He is also only 22 so room to develop. Think we could also get him for a cut price due to Sheffield Utd financial restrictions.

Oh and dont think just because he has a court case for ALLEGEDLY commiting a sexual offence that he has a bad attitude. He is the complete opposite and I guarantee he is proved innocent!

He may indeed have a good attitude, and be innocent, but irrespective of this and the outcome of the case, I would be surprised if we took on a player who might be unavailable for a (minimum) couple of weeks during a key time in the season.

lol - not a chance we'll sign him, can't see Nigel going after a player that's got himself into a bit of bother.

Plus it's hearsay on the Sheff Utd forum, hardly a source of any substance.

Was good for Norwich a few years back. There's better out there, but he wouldn't be a bad signing - although he'd need to be one of two attacking players brought in, as we also need pace.

Hes much quicker than any of the strikers we currently have.

Quite true innocent till proven guility and all that....but I imagine most clubs would rather await the outcome of a the trial (especially alleged rape) before sinking a few quid into a player just in case he is found guility.

Talented lad and a regular in an improving Welsh squad - Thought highly of at NCFC when he had a spell there..

Would not be adverse to him at all - let's face it our manager has the gift to bring the best out of people.

If we're after players who've proven themselves in League 1 surely you're all happy to just give Barnard the chance instead?

As I recall Evans has played regularly and scored regularly in the Championship in the past. All for giving Barny a chance if fit but he isn't. As for signing Evans - he could be good for us but would prefer Sharp or JRod.
