Badger Posted 11 December, 2011 Share Posted 11 December, 2011 I am ashamed of all those having a go at Bart. Rarely have we had a more loyal player who's stayed at the club playing second fiddle to Kelvin for so long. One off day and this is how so called Saints supporters treat the guy. I'm disgusted. I thought the story was he failed a medical at Sporting Braga after his previous contract expired, and then returned to re-sign for us. Not sure the "loyalty" is out of alternative options being declined.
Saint_John Posted 11 December, 2011 Share Posted 11 December, 2011 I went for a run past St Marys this morning and looked through the gates at the Northam end. I saw 3 GK going through a training exercise, saving shots in a temporary goal on the halfway line by the Kingsland Stand. My first thought was, is this Kelvin or Bart getting some extra practice in, but to my horror I could only see 3 youth team GKs being given a work out. By the time I got to the Chapel end I looked through those gates and could see the rest of Dodd's Youth Team training on the pitch before tomorrow game. Panic over. ponto1963 Posted 11 December, 2011 Share Posted 11 December, 2011 totally pointless f@cking thread....he's our reserve keeper who's had a bad day at the office, we haven't lost, still top by three points, get over it agree with this, all keepers have bad days. their problem is it means a goal when they do cock it up. Green world cup springs to mind. I'm a Bart fan & will continue to be so
Wilko Posted 11 December, 2011 Share Posted 11 December, 2011 Give the guy a break. We know he's a decent keeper and one poor game should not be allowed to ruin his career.

doddisalegend Posted 12 December, 2011 Share Posted 12 December, 2011 This is all I can find: Mong is short for 'mongoloid', which was originally an anachronistic term for a Down's Syndrome sufferer. Is it really acceptable to use derogotory terms for people with disabilities? I expect you use similar derogatory terms for people with different coloured skin, or maybe you are just a hypocrite. Which is it? Personally I don't like the term. Just use the term C unt if you have to insult people....c unts (or their family members) are unlikely to get upset about it...... doddisalegend Posted 12 December, 2011 Share Posted 12 December, 2011 LOL 13% want to see Nigel between the sticks....they're all joking right? Personally if KD isn't avaliable then it has to be Bart he's unlikely to play that bad again and the other options are non starters for me. Have you never noticed that folk who don't go to games still vote on the MOTM thread? Bart even got about 9 votes for MOTM on Saturday.

With 75% of votes in favour of Bart as I type this, this thread proves not all Saints fans or even SaintsWeb users are the sort of idiot wrist-slasher most threads would have you believe. It also shows how many people read SaintsWeb compared to those who post, as 385 individual votes (at this point) have been submitted. That in itself is a valid point, even if the topic is B.S. The9 Posted 13 December, 2011 Share Posted 13 December, 2011 (edited) Disappointed to say that as one of his strongest supporters back in 2007, that I think Bart has been like this pretty much since then. He had some mares for Poland u-21s, looked a bit shaky in League One, and dropped the ball at the feet of Cox pre-season against West Brom unchallenged. I think his confidence is shot to pieces and has been for a while, I hope I'm wrong or that we don't have to test it this weekend. I've heard good things about Dovey, and there's a lot to be said for the naivety of youth in that kind of situation, kids generally don't appreciate the pressure there's meant to be as they have little to compare it with, but I can't say it's an experiment id like us to try out either way at Fratton. Saint_Jonny Posted 13 December, 2011 Share Posted 13 December, 2011 I creased up when I saw Adkins was an option. But it was just one game, he hasn't turned into a **** player overnight. I've seen him play well numerous times, hes got it in him.
Bourne Valley Saint Posted 13 December, 2011 Share Posted 13 December, 2011 Let Bart play at Coventry in the cup. He'll be away from most of his critics and will have had some time to get over his poor performance. Until then, just hope that Kelvin is fit and stays fit. However, if Bart does play on Sunday, FFS get behind the bloke even if he does make a cock up. That shower of sh1te down the road will like nothing better than seeing some of our fans turn on our own player!

Window Cleaner Posted 13 December, 2011 Share Posted 13 December, 2011 Yep - Just like you I do despair sometimes... Trouble is it's becoming increasingly difficult on this forum to differentiate between the continual p*ss takers and the real morons.
