I don't post very often - mainly because when I did so several years ago, I ended up spending so much time on here it was affecting my job!!!!!!!

However, I do follow the too's and fro's of differing opinions regarding whether we should be over the moon about our current circumstances or whether every point dropped has to be put down as a disaster......

I liked the look of this though and thing it sums up what I saw today.

Beats the FFS adkins wind up thread which is currently wasting space on this forum! That is exactly how most of us must feel having got home and mulled over the result/season I would imagine.

Good link, good perspective.

With so much not going our way,the lads kept up the tempo and if SDR hadn't checked his run....

A far more exciting last twenty than the 'keep ball' to see out a win against Hull.

And certainly beats losing to Pymouth and Rochdale.

Is that because you are unable to be level-headed and constructive yourself?

To be fair, it is difficult at times to be objective when there is so much up and down emotion in following your team. Fans by their nature tend to be over emotive about it especially during and immediately after a game. Trouble is deep down, everyone wants to believe, but its not easy - in some respects its probably more difficult as we have had such a good start - beyond our expectations so there is a fear at tiems that it ius surely too good to be true and it must end with a slumpa nd dissapointment - If anything say we were about 7 or 8th now and had started to put some good results together, most would be very happy and believe we could push on in Jan and make a promotion push - as it is, we are tehre to be shot at and now its about bottle in the spotlight as well as all the noraml footballing variables - for most fans we have not seen our team in this spot so its tricky, nice but difficult to be objective (especially as most would argue we have actually not been as good in teh last 4 games as previously... ;-)

Great read! It makes a real change to read something so well written with an eye to the events as they happened without any silly hyperbole. Of course, it has no place in this forum. Way too sensible for this place. ;)

Interesting article - spot on with the observation of Saints not pressing Blackpool players in possession consistently. The only real spell of intensity was the lead up to our first goal when Adam pressed hard to dispossess and set up Ricky. Pleased to see people outside the club can see the qualities of Guly too.

I'll answer for him. Yes.

It's difficult for him to be objective though when his only exposure to a live football game is a football forum and the radio.
