dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bialkowski didn't suddenly become a complete waste of space. Why didn't see how rubbish he is in training and get a replacement in. Get a grip and start doing what you are payed to do.
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 NA has a a lot to do in the next week leading up to the derby, imo. And a lot to do in January. There are holes all over the team suddenly.
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Shut up Erm, no I wont, and dune shouldnt either. Today was not good enough.
saints-cris Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Erm, no I wont, and dune shouldnt either. Today was not good enough. Not you, the thread poster. He had a BAD game, no denying that. But Adkins has seem him day in day out, and hasnt felt the need to replacement.
badgerx16 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Maybe he's fine in training but lack of first team appearances has drained his confidence. The problem with being a keeper is that the slightest error is likely to concede a goal, there is very rarely another player covering your mistakes.
dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Author Posted 10 December, 2011 Erm, no I wont, and dune shouldnt either. Today was not good enough. My criticism isn't of the team today (thought we played quite well), it's the fact we have no cover for KD.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Football club in replacements for injured players not quite as good as those they replace SHOCKER!
dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Author Posted 10 December, 2011 Not you, the thread poster. He had a BAD game, no denying that. But Adkins has seem him day in day out, and hasnt felt the need to replacement. If he hasn't seen how poor Bialkowski is then he's not doing his job.
forever a red and white Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Seriously? Yeah come on Nigel do your job properly, its not like you have done anything like i don't know get us promoted first time of asking, give us a great start to the season in the Championship and maybe even have the bonus of being in the top two by xmas is it? And of course we have had no injury problems at all what with Lallana being 100% all season, Barny being out for half of a season oh and of course David Connolly. Do me a favour the man is doing his job just fine and deseres a bit of slack for christ sake. Bart, just like any outfield player, needs game time.
Delmary Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 I see the residential bedwetters are out in force today.
dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Author Posted 10 December, 2011 Football club in replacements for injured players not quite as good as those they replace SHOCKER! Replacement keepers cost pea nuts. It needs addressing straight away.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 He froze on the big day others have done the same remember Matt and Taibi at Old Trafford same goal! End of! Lets hope Kelvin is back for the skates though!
Saint Stimp Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Keeper in having a bad game shocker. Happens to the best - even happened to Niemi a couple of times. How the **** do you know how he plays in training anyway?
Dalek2003 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 NA has a a lot to do in the next week leading up to the derby, imo. And a lot to do in January. There are holes all over the team suddenly. Which was predicted not back in August or even July and not even June but in May ffs ! We were very complacent over the summer transfer window and those who said the squad was good enough were fools !
saints-cris Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Which was predicted not back in August or even July and not even June but in May ffs ! We were very complacent over the summer transfer window and those who said the squad was good enough were fools ! We might still be top by the end of today.. how is that not good enough? With January coming up..
Secret Site Agent Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Were losing and drawing games aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh **** them all. **** everyone. Jonnyboy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Kelvin couldve played and we might have won today BUT Bart would then have played at Fratton and Id rather win that one I think.
Dalek2003 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 We might still be top by the end of today.. how is that not good enough? With January coming up.. Listen to you. Most people can see that we need to strengthen the quad, are you saying we don't ?
Saint Troy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 big news...... adkins just confirmed that bart is good in training, oh **** thats really odd. bad day at the office, it happens. apalling posts and would pay £5 to have a seperate forum set up for posts like this
Jonnyboy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 There are still Saints fans who think Kelv is crap based on a couple of dodgy matches 4 years ago. I feel sorry for Bart because nowhe'll be forever thought of as cr@p. That said I was never in favour of him replcing Kelv at any stage.
badgerx16 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Replacement keepers cost pea nuts. It needs addressing straight away. Go on then, give an example. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Don't we still have Forecast ?
saints-cris Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Listen to you. Most people can see that we need to strengthen the quad, are you saying we don't ? Course we can improve. Every team can improve their squad. But why are you moaning when were top. Clearly we have a decent side
Dalek2003 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Course we can improve. Every team can improve their squad. But why are you moaning when were top. Clearly we have a decent side I am not moaning that we are top, but I am making a point that we knew we had to strengthen and we didn't properly. Mind you, if we are still ion this league at the end of the season then I will be satisfied.
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Kelvin couldve played and we might have won today BUT Bart would then have played at Fratton and Id rather win that one I think. You know for a fact he will back next week having missed this one ?

miserableoldgit Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 There have been any number of posts on this forum over the last year or so critical of Kelvin and urging NA to give Bart a chance. You can`t have it all ways.
Bolokov Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 If he hasn't seen how poor Bialkowski is then he's not doing his job. You are a t**t
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 There have been any number of posts on this forum over the last year or so critical of Kelvin and urging NA to give Bart a chance. You can`t have it all ways. From the same people ?
rshephard3 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 I would consider it a little harsh to blame someone for not forseeing a puncture in a spare tyre. A spot of winding up going on here I feel. Adkins is employed to earn southampton points in the football league and noone in football can argue he's not doing that.
latter day saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 FFS! pathetic thread. grow a pair you bunch of wingy kids
SaintAndy14 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Who is this mong who has started this thread? Geez, how embarassing.
Georgie Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Were losing and drawing games aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh **** them all. **** everyone. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ****ing Panic. Panic all over the place. etc etc. A new song for the Northam Lets all do the knee jerk, Lets all do the knee jerk, La la la la, La la la la. Haha. Something that really wound me up today, not that we didn't win, not that Bart didn't seem to turn up, not that we weren't putting away some good chances, not even the awful ref, but two fans near me that didn't celebrate our equaliser because "we should be beating teams like blackpool at home". These were the same fans that all last season were moaning at other fans who were shouting at the players when something didn't go right and telling people to "get behind the team". That's really getting behind the team by standing there and not even celebrating. Take a look at the league table, did anyone really expect us to be in this position in December? I certainly didn't
Crouch Ender Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 The bottom line with Alpine is he's a Saints fan who doesn't actually understand football. It seems this poster is in the same boat.
dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Author Posted 10 December, 2011 Who is this mong who has started this thread? Geez, how embarassing. uh oh, SuperMikey and SuperAndy666 have a new member in the brat pack.
S-Clarke Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 What a truly bizarre thread, containing the predictably bizarre posters.
St Matty Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Because he isn't rubbish in training,. Just lost it in front of a big crowd and in an important game. Lay off the Manager.
SaintRobbie Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Because he isn't rubbish in training,. Just lost it in front of a big crowd and in an important game. Lay off the Manager. Good post. But, if BArt plays against Pompey i shall be questioning our manager's decision.
latter day saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Good post. But, if BArt plays against Pompey i shall be questioning our manager's decision. what if he has no choice ?
RobM Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Good post. But, if BArt plays against Pompey i shall be questioning our manager's decision. What if he plays and performs really well? Can you predict the future? If Kelvin isn't available who would you - the expert here - pick to cover him?
thorpie the sinner Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 I am convinced he is injured! he officially couldn't kick ball, out us in trouble with wayward punts and short passes all day! I reckon KD was injured this morning, bart also injured, no 3rd keeper, bart plays!!! No way was he fit!
st alex Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 big news...... adkins just confirmed that bart is good in training, oh **** thats really odd. bad day at the office, it happens. apalling posts and would pay £5 to have a seperate forum set up for posts like this He had a shocker, but many keepers are inconsistent, he has had very good games for us in the past. However I remember reading a while ago that he suffered from very bad nerves before games and low confidence. Which is what looked like what was wrong with him today. I was very surprised that after the first half he had, the gk coach didn't come out with him at half time and take some shots at him, especially since Bart usually gives Kelvin a few catches at the start of the second half, but he got nothing! Someone that was clearly struggling and needed a bit of help not none, and with an ex gialy as manager I found that very surprising and disapointing.
SaintAndy14 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Good post. But, if BArt plays against Pompey i shall be questioning our manager's decision. Who would you rather have if Kelv is still injured?
Winchester Red Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 To make a more sensible point, Bart can't kick and never has been able to. If you want to play the sort of game we do, using the keeper as part of a passing game, you'd think they'd have worked on that or realised he can't and replaced him. The rest of his issues a really good psychiatrist (sp?) could solve
Minty Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Come on chaps, no need for the continual abuse dished out. It's quite easy to pick apart the OP without the need for all that. Adkins is the manager. I would suggest that he has earned the trust and support of 99.9% of us fans. He cannot predict the future, he sees Bart in training every day, and was also a 'keeper himself, so has added insight. What you will never see in training, is a performance like we saw from Bart today, so to claim that it was somehow predictable or inevitable is rather silly. So, all in all, no matter what our opinions on how good Bart is, no one could've expected what happened today, and very few would question his judgement on it before the game. If Adkins had any inkling that Bart's performance today was likely (it is always *possible*), then I have no doubt he would've been looking for a new backup. For all we know, he may already have been looking but not been able to find the right person yet. We simply don't know. But to question whether Adkins has been doing his job, when we sit top of the Championship, exceeding EVERYONE'S expectations, is quite ridiculous IMO. He should've earned our trust and respect for what he has achieved so far, and whilst now, with hindsight, he may well sit down with Bart and talk things through, and also look at the position with his staff, (i.e. do his job), I just think it is unfair in the extreme to in any way claim that what happened was predictable and to blame him for it.
dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Author Posted 10 December, 2011 The rest of his issues a really good psychiatrist (sp?) could solve Good god.
