Minty Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 How many times have I had to say it? KEEP THE FAITH. Get the f*ck in.
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Well, f**k me. A fighting chance of still being top tonight. Serious work required before next week's game.
SO16_Saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Stood in hythe high st and heard a roar from somewhere! Quicker tha the updates in here! Get in!!
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 What's he done ? Got his yellow card ?
Window Cleaner Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bloody SDR we had it on a plate ffs. Need to get shot of De Ridder I've told you so before he isn't very good.
DG Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Oh well ten more points in the prediction league.
Ohio Saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Had SDR scored that would have been amazing
saintoli Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Who got the last goal? my stream went down in the 93rd min! What happened to De Ridder?
St.Thomas7 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Weirdly said to my housemate that we'll lose this one, have predicted every loss this season... can't believe the streak ends like this, with such a whimper... Its good to be wrong every now and then...
Cascadia Saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 uurgghh.... Should be happy we pulled one back, but if de ridder had passed to one of 3 players that was a guaranteed goal. Should've had a famous win at the end there.
DG Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 What did he do? We had a 4 on two break and he fooked it up.
Jonnyboy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Whats he done ? You arent even watching??!!
saintscottofthenortham Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 What did he do? You serious!? We were 4 on 2 and he went for the run hself and had the touch of a rapist. Hence why he doesn't start.
SO16_Saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 You serious!? We were 4 on 2 and he went for the run hself and had the touch of a rapist. Hence why he doesn't start. Not watching
skintsaint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bart cost us 3 points, we played well enough, shooting was a bit erratic though. Blackpool looked handy on the break but didnt really create much at all.
Jonnyboy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 So If West Ham win 2-0 today - are we still top?
Nexstar Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Kelvin need sot be back next week. SDR took too heavy a touch, but he is a good impact player. Guly was fantastic.
niceandfriendly Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 I've only watched a few games this season but I've noticed SDR does that quite often. Worrying. Needs to learn fast. Great that we managed to get a point.
Dalek2003 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bart cost us 3 points, we played well enough, shooting was a bit erratic though. Blackpool looked handy on the break but didnt really create much at all. Actually we gto 1 point, so he cost us 2 points.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Not watching Gotcha. Tough to take that one. We more than done enough to win that, Blackpool barely threatened bar the odd pop shots that were there just to test Bart, he failed on several of these tests and it cost us in the end.
badgerx16 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 So If West Ham win 2-0 today - are we still top? 1) we've scored more goals 2) S before W in the alphabet Anyway, Reading and Millwall will win.
Valesaint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bart cost us 3 points, we played well enough, shooting was a bit erratic though. Blackpool looked handy on the break but didnt really create much at all. No matter how much I hate Bart. He only cost us two points. We should have had three points but ended up with one. Nett result two points lost!
saints-cris Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 We should have won to be honest, created much more than them, and their 2nd only came from a howler. Great, great character to get a point. Staying unbeaten at home is crucial
Minsk Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bart cost us 3 points, we played well enough, shooting was a bit erratic though. Blackpool looked handy on the break but didnt really create much at all. Errrmmm, we got 1 point so he could only have cost us 2.... unless the rules ave chaned????
badgerx16 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Actually we gto 1 point, so he cost us 2 points. No, he cost us a goal, if our finishing was better we would have scored more - so why not blame Guly for 2 dropped points. I'm not specifically trying to protect Bart, but getting on his back won't improve his performances, and he is still our only backup to KD.
Window Cleaner Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 1) we've scored more goals 2) S before W in the alphabet Anyway, Reading and Millwall will win. think I'll watch Reading-West Ham actually.
the saint in winchester Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Ironically, we spend most of the game shying away from shooting at goal. Preferring to cross or play too many passes. the ONE time someone takes responsibility to try for goal himself he mucks it up. Yeah, SDR should have passed. But we had so many opportunities to score, it was unreal.
Avenue Saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Big congrats to Adkins and the boys! Absolutely FANTASTAC run. Proud!
Jonnyboy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 think I'll watch Reading-West Ham actually. link?
Secret Site Agent Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 No, he cost us a goal, if our finishing was better we would have scored more - so why not blame Guly for 2 dropped points. I'm not specifically trying to protect Bart, but getting on his back won't improve his performances, and he is still our only backup to KD. I feel sorry for Bart. He was in the past a handy looking goalie, but he's still here as reserve goalie. I know Kelv has been playing a blinder and keeping him out of the team, but I worry about Bart not having ambition enough to challenge Kelv, or threaten to leave if he doesn't gte more games under his belt. Today will just be another nail in his coffin, and another hit in his confidence. Cost us the game today I feel. Saints did well to come back, but what must have been going through their minds? Waste of time scoring if he cant keep the ball out? He either needs more time between the sticks in competition, loand out and back up in, (or a recall clause to bring him back) or splash the cash for a young up-and-coming-hungry goal keeper. A journeyman, if you will.
Reynoldson!! Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Guly, awesome game. Awesome. Also yeah sdr screwed up at the end but it wasn't a cut and dry an pop as everyone is making out, the timing of it hurt but it wasnt that bad
JackFrost Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 We're going through a rough patch no doubt about it. Adkins first major challenge of the season. Davis gets injured, Bart has a very poor game. Still showed heart and got a point, could have even got 3. If KD isn't fit for Sunday Bart has got a lot of work ahead of him in training this week.
Bensfcno1 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Maybe a bit of a monkey of our back today? With the way everyone on sky set us up, we were destined to not win...although i reckon we would have won that game 9/10 times, OK bart had a shocker, our defense looked scared of their pace but we created chances and on another day coulda been 2 or 3 up b4 they scored plus was a penalty on Sneiderlin. Super Ricky Lambert saves the day. Shame SDR couldnt have had one good touch and score or square the ball! As for that *** Holloway, hes never happy is he? We gifted them 2 goals and scored in the 93rd, but it shouldnt have come cz ther shouldnt have been 5 minutes injury? Apparently only man united get that many!
Cascadia Saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Ironically, we spend most of the game shying away from shooting at goal. Preferring to cross or play too many passes. the ONE time someone takes responsibility to try for goal himself he mucks it up. Yeah, SDR should have passed. But we had so many opportunities to score, it was unreal. That one was a cast-iron, guaranteed, nailed-on certainty for a goal if he'd have just looked up and passed though... so frustrating.
SaintRobbie Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Bart needs to be dropped I'm afraid. So proud of our outfield players though. Chance for someone else to prove themselves. As Nigel Adkins says - he may be able to do well in training but if you can't do it in the arena you're out.
Saintandy666 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Well, we made a lot of chances and the ref was appalling. Could have won despite Barts howler, though I think he looked slightly injured. Something wasn't right there. Guly man of the match though, commanding performance.
