Saints V Blackpool Match Thread and Reaction

SOTONS EAST SIDE

Would people please stop banging on about Bialkowski being brilliant and deserving his chance and being good enough to take over from Davis as he is obviously so vastly superior. He quite clearly isn't and hasn't been since he injured his knee against Newcastle all those years ago. We need to get shot of Bialkowski and Forecast and get in at least 1 top keeper if not during the transfer window then during the Summer.

Seems to be a huge gap between defence and midfield. Stop Phillips running and thats half the job done!

If we tighten up I'm sure we'll be fine

The gap is exactly what appeared for their goal. The pressing game is fine but the defence must push-up as well, otehrwise we leave gaps, and the consequences are there to see. Still though, cracking game.

Agree we need new keeper but bit unfair to castigate Bart quite so much on an admittedly shaky 45 minutes. Our midfield is more concerning. Powder puff.

Blackpool are the first side I've seen who are close to our ability to pass the ball... when a team does it well, it is very difficult to defend against and so the game is quite open. Interesting one to watch for the neutral.

They'll be knackered in the second half…. but watch for the Super Kev substitution to change the game. We need to batter them early!

My opinion is not based on these 45 minutes but on how he has played over the last few years. I swear people are still judging him on that superb run of games when he was a nipper. He hasn't shown anything like that form since. This game he has been awful. And some moan about Davis!

I agree that we are giving them too much time and space when they have the ball.
