Asaint4ever Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Yup were doomed! No money no lambert! What next?
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Being cursed with the legacy of following Saints for all these years, cynical pessimism (although slowly wearing off), I get the same feeling before every home game. I think though that we will get undone at home by a, respectfully, 'smaller' club than Blackpool.
Jonnyboy Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 It all comes crashing down. I can feel it in me water. Have a word with yourself.
trousers Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Today's the day we go a whole year unbeaten at home in a league game
dune Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 I thought we'd falter against Hull but we didn't. KTF.
Dalek2003 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 If we lose today it is not a disaster. We have had a great start to the season and a run of games. Lets get perspective. At the end of the season if we: 1. Achieved auto promotion it would be beyond our wildest dreams. 2. Play off = fantastic achievement. 3. Top half = more than we planned for 4. Comfortable lower mid table ie 17th very happy and probably in line with our ambition over the summer. 5. Avoid relegation = job done. 6. relegaion = failure.
Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 It all comes crashing down. I can feel it in me water. Thanks, i was about to set off from Oxfordshire, i wont bother now and go shopping with the missis !!

Dalek2003 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Damnit Dalek I really don't understand your reaction to my very balanced post. Anyone implying that such a post is a wind must be on wind up themselves !
Andy Durman Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Today is the day we roll up our sleeves and show that we are a very professional outfit and have what it takes to achieve automatic promotion!!!!
SNSUN Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Gonna lose? Then do a bet, double chance, on Blackpool and the draw. Financially compensated if we lose or draw.£1000 should be a minimum bet, if you're that concerned we'll crash and burn today.
BadgerBadger Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 I'm right up for today, crowd will need to be in fine voice and get a good atmosphere going
Under Weststand Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Today is the day we get our 20th league victory in a row, maybe! But sooner or later we will lose at home or draw, doesn't mean it will all come crashing down. We will draw a line under it and move on.
carljack Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 It all comes crashing down. I can feel it in me water. Are you Alpine in disguise, are you Alpine in disguise ...................................................!
ponto1963 Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 we achieve the same points in the championship as for the full season we were relegated from it ;-)
Saint Without a Halo Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 We will win and win well today! to prove our credentials

To be honest, this is a good way of looking at things. Where we are currently doesn't change any of the above, and actually helps put things into perspective and takes the pressure off a bit... whereas some of the reactions to our recent away defeats actually do the opposite. Keep the pressure off the lads and let them play, and we'll see what we can achieve.

We must remember this is our first season back in the NPC and provided we are building for the long term, which we are, in a sustainable way (unlike Wham or Leycester), then we have to be patient. Again. this is not a wind up , just a way of saying keep our feet on the ground and our objectives achievable.
hypochondriac Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 If it does end today I hope people react by applauding what has been an amazing run. Rather than instantly moaning like little girls. Is that too much to ask? I think it's quite possible to recognise the great run but simultaneously be worried about our current form should we lose. That's how I'll feel anyway.

That's how I'll feel anyway. Worried about what ? We have enough points in the bag to see a fairly comfortable finish, at the worst. I cannot see a wholesale collapse, just a gentle slide down the league !
alpine_saint Posted 10 December, 2011 Posted 10 December, 2011 Congrats on your hollow victory Dont be such a childish d*ck.
