The9 Posted 9 December, 2011 Share Posted 9 December, 2011 Only because the OS is a little misleading, saying "We have also been allocated 1,000 travel vouchers that can be purchased for £1.50. This entitles supporters to subsidised travel within a certain area, details of which are advertised on the back of the ticket." The subsidised travel is in fact FREE travel (as opposed to the voucher being part of the cost), so if you pay the £1.50 at the TO you can use that on either a train or a bus in the Brighton area - you don't have to pay anything else on that bus or train. I took a photo of the voucher and the info, as I'm good like that, so you can see the areas for bus and train travel :

Mister Neil Posted 9 December, 2011 Share Posted 9 December, 2011 Check train fares first. I will be travelling from the Isle of Wight. A Day Return from Portsmouth Harbour to Shoreham using a railcard is £14.90, a Day Return from Portsmouth Harbour to Falmer is also £14.90. Macey_J2 Posted 9 December, 2011 Share Posted 9 December, 2011 Nice one, The9, most helpful! I was wondering what this mystical travel voucher included.
The9 Posted 10 December, 2011 Author Share Posted 10 December, 2011 Have since discovered the train cost to Shoreham (nearest station in the area) is the same as it is to Falmer anyway, so it's a bit pointless from Southampton - could be handy if we split our train journey though, or take the bus direct to the ground.
